Everything! Gorgeous place that should be 5 stars not 4! Originally booked this for one night before heading to a 5 star hotel, but this was 2000x times better so after one night in the five star hotel we cancelled our reservation and came back to La Hacienda! Such a relaxing place with incredible customer service and impeccable food!

Our Stay at Atoq was just amazing! We had the really perfect time there. Room was nice, breakfast was excellent. Staff was friendly and nice and we absolutely enjoyed the outsdide area. It has an amazing vibe to sit on the terrace with the pool, garden, and the lovely seaview. Because you also look to the national parc on the other sid of the sea and this is just unique. We even saw dophins swimming in the sea while we had breakfast - it was just amazing. Thank you for everything (also the most comfy bed!).

I really liked Paracas.
I really liked Paracas. It's a small beach resort with plenty bars, restaurants and shops.
There appears to be only two ATM's and the one in the main section near the beach will charge you 25 soles a pop so bear that in mind.
It's great for visiting the National Reserve Park - you'd need to either hire a buggy/scooter or go with a tour in my opinion. It's big and it's beautiful. It closes at 4pm so you wouldn't want to leave it too late.
You can also visit Las Islas Ballestas - mini Galapagos in Peru. It's gorgeous and I'm not a bird lover. The boat trip alone is a winner for me
You can also go kayaking and there are two small water parks/water based activities along the beach too.
It's hot so don't forget the sunscreen. I was just there and it's April which is their Autumn.
I spent about 4 nights there and I really enjoyed just walking the beach and relaxing.

Paracas was not the best stop on my Peru trip.
Paracas was not the best stop on my Peru trip. First of all, lots of visitors got heavy stomach problems once in Paracas (it is probably the water). The best part is to visit the natural Reserva. The Islas Ballestas islands is not the best...I mean the boats are going there constantly full of tourists...I do not think it is the best for the animals that live there..We were told that due to climate change they are also not reproducing anymore so soon no Humboldt penguins or pelicanos will be there. The bets would be close this area from tourists...

Paracas has some really beautiful sights.
Paracas has some really beautiful sights. Ballestas islands are a must see and the national park is beautiful!
Paracas Beach is crowded and not very clean. And the minimarts are very expensive compared to other places in Peru- stock up on snacks and water before you you arrive!

We planned two full days, which was great for a relaxing vacation, but we could have done Paracas with one full day. Next time, I would plan to visit the Islas Ballestas at 8am the first morning, have lunch in town afterwards, then visit the National Reserve in the afternoon. Visiting the reserve in the morning was probably better, since the wind is a problem in the afternoon, but it could still be done in one day. Either way, if you're in Paracas you must see both the islands and the reserve. Plan for a ceviche lunch at Playa Lagunillas.

The visit to the Ballestas Islands is really worth it, and the quality of the tour is fair, but I regretted to not have been able to spend more time there; we went back about 30 minutes earlier than planned, and we stayed like barely 5 minutes to observe the sea lions from close.
The other main tour is the Paracas natural reserve, which in itself is beautiful, but the tour was not so great, as we made several stops which were not so necessary to me and when we finally made it to the main spot which was playa Lagunilla, we didn't have time to take a swim.

Cute little town to visit for a day and do the bird island excursion. Although the boats are packed and your knees will hurt from sitting in tight quarters. Everyone stood up once we got there and we had a hard time seeing anything. Beach is dirty, busy and not worth it. But it's Peru and it's interesting none the less.
This was hands-down the best hotel I've ever stayed at in Peru. It exceeded all of our expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a great selection. The pool and common areas were extremely clean and well cared for. The views of the sunset from the property are incredible. And it's great value for the price when traveling alone or with 1-2 other people, considering the alternatives (hostels, resorts that cost 2x as much, and Airbnbs / entire house rentals that are at least 5x the price).
The place is very nice and clean and the hosts will do everything to make you feel at home and comfortable. There are various places to chil, and they are very flexible and will try to suit your requests. I had an medical issue and Odon and Esteban drove me (on their free day) to a doctor and made several phone calls to make sure I've got the best treatment possible. Getting medical issues is never fun while traveling but when it happens this was a good place to be.
Would recommend this place!
This is beautiful hotel. We had a sea view room with a big balcony with chairs and a lounger. The grounds are immaculate with huge pools (the small one heated in winter). The beach is not very nice. Grey sand and lots of seaweed, but too cold to swim when we were there (Sept) anyway. Best of all is the staff. Everyone smiled and very helpful with everything. Booking tours and taxis. My husband was sick and the receptionist got him tablets for his stomach. Thanks everyone!
I think this is one of the best hostels i ever stayed in, i happily recommend it to anyone :) Lidia and Aberto are superkind and very helpful. The place is very clean and comfortable with a wonderful kitchen and a beautiful terrace with hammocks and chairs. The location is also very good, it is in the middle of Paracas. They also offer tours and bike rental. The whole place simply has a very nice and chilled vibe, i regret that i was not able to stay longer.
· The staff is very friendly - they told me what are real prices in Paracas (eg. how much a scooter rental should cost e.g.), They speak very good English. They checked the weather for the Paracas tour and booked a tour with me (so part of the explanation was translated into English just for me). The place is very well located - close to the noisy city center - but far enough to keep it quiet. Very clean and well-thought rooms with a bathroom.
Do not hesitate to stay here! Perfect location, everything was super clean, and the air conditioning blows really cold❄️ The staff was absolutely amazing, especially Nelson who went above and beyond to not only make us feel genuinely welcomed but also to ensure our trip to Paracas would be an unforgettable one👌 Many thanks Casa Paracas, we look forward to staying with you again someday!
Hospedaje San Gabriel is a humble hotel near Paracas harbor. Andrés is very friendly and helpful. He helps you organize your visits around Paracas (Reserva Nacional, Oasis Huacachina or Isla Ballestas). You don't have to worry about anything, he'll help you with your needs.
The rooms are simple, yet clean and comfy.
A very nice facility with friendly and very honest service. My friend lost his wallet and passport at the hotel and the staff brought it to him. Very clean apartment. The hotel has its own tourist agency which we also used - we were very pleased with the services. We got a very good breakfast.
Location was perfect. Very good price for a room. Room was small, but comfortable. Nice seating area outside. Friendly and communicating hosts.Could get very tasty breakfast in the morning for the best price.
Super new and clean hotel - great quality and value. 2 mins walk to everywhere. Friendly service, hot water and one of the best breakfasts we've had in Peru.
Great value for price, very clean. One of the nicer hotel rooms we have stayed in while in Peru (even better than a 4-star in Lima).
Very friendly staff
