Had an amazing stay at Kon Tiki . Had previously read comments so knew to take face cloths and ear plugs. Although a nightclub next door and a roof top bar could not hear any noise .Staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful with booking taxis . They all had reasonable English which was fantastic as we didn’t speak any french. Stayed in a studio with two single beds and a pull out couch all very comfortable and the most amazing shower. Was very central to shops and restaurants and across the road from the ferry terminal.

I’m giving this a five star review in the context of this being a three star hotel but is really bordering on being a four star. It’s in amazing location with plenty of car parking space, in fact you can park in front of your apartments and has everything you need for a nice stay in a well priced (relatively as everything in Tahiti is expensive) resort with a restaurant, bar, swimming pool and exclusive access to a beach (which is a one minute walk from here). The staff were helpful and the best thing was that this is only a 30 minute walk to the centre of Papeete and there are various buses on the main road. I would recommend!

This place was perfect. Very clean, spacious, great views, safe and secure and had everything you would ever need. The hospital from Joy (the host of the property) was absolutely phenomenal and extremely helpful.

The town of Papeete is very nice and the people are very friendly and welcoming. Had it not been for our unacceptable accommodations, we would have loved our stay in Papeete. If you go, be sure to stay at a reputable hotel and avoid private Air B&B places. Papeete at first glance could be a nice place to stay. Warm weather, good food and drinks. Seafront promenade is just gorgeous. But a lot of homeless people and dogs are as decay for the city. Well, some of the US cities like Phili are the same...

The French influence in Tahiti is everywhere and I loved it.
The French influence in Tahiti is everywhere and I loved it. Food is amazing, I had great meals out and the Carrefour supermarkets are better stocked than my local supermarkets here in the UK. I just liked the vibe. There are lots of places to eat and drink, decent shopping to be had and I liked the people. The port where you can catch boats to other islands is in town too!

I loved the fresh pastries - especially the bread sticks I found finding a place in town was better for us, as the cost for taxi's was very pricey. Little to do in the city aside from shopping. That all stops on Sundays entirely, and largely disappears on Saturday afternoons too. Public transport is almost impossible, not helped by the website or the tourism office. The outside of the hotel though, looks really bad, and so does the swimming pool area, with missing tiles, and fitness devices deposited near the pool. Hotels in Papeete are very expensive, but this one was not cheap either. The room looked 4*, but the outside looks like a 2*. It's a pity, as with some renovation work it would be an ok hotel. A good thing is the hotel has a very spacious garage.

It had everything we needed, was tastefully furnished, well appointed and so close to restaurants, the supermarket and an easy walk into the main part of town. The host was incredibly friendly, helpful and responsive and for a small fee even drove us to the airport for our late night flight. Best of all the apartment was exceptional value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

Nicolas and Heirui(such a sweetheart)will do their best to make yourself at home. Definitely my go-to place in Tahiti! Oh and the 2 adorable cats made my stay even more enjoyable.
