Every detail warmed the heart, you enter the bungalow and bottle of whine with a cake is waiting for you, 10minutes after it stars raining, hosts nocks at your doors with sturdy umbrellas. We were extremely unlucky with a weather, but cabin was so beautiful, surrounded by the wonderful nature, local cat visited us and stayed with us for the whole night and we used inside pool with an amazing view to the hills, so we were not even sorry that we couldn’t get outside for 3days:)

Most magical place located in a vineyard in a small village North of Porto. We stayed for one night and loved it so much that we simply shopped for tapas in the supermarket near by to enjoy the property even more instead of going to a restaurant for dinner. It was an exceptional heating system. It had a balcony which had a fabulous view of the sunrise. Our host was so lovely. He cared for us while we were quite unwell. He greeted us at the gate, and did not seem deterred that we were unwell. He attended to all our needs such as an early check in, brought cups of tea and water to our room (again because we were unwell).
The breakfast was above and beyond anything we had so far in Portugal. He offered a gracious spread of toast, cheese, meats, croissants, juice, muffins, tea, coffee. He also made sure the bathroom was clean for us when we were unwell. Thank you so much. You made us feel at home.

Guest house was a lovely oasis in downtown Ponte De Lima, mere steps off the Camino. The hostess allowed me to check in early to take a much needed nap. The free washing machine was an added bonus. Free coffee in the morning was a lovely way to start the day.
