The apartment is super clean and very spacious. All the amenities you would need and more. Kitchen is fully equipped and the patio in the back was a great extra space. I only wish we could have added more days to our stay. We were so comfortable. It was a 20 minute walk to the beach and close to bars, groceries and restaurants.

It’s an impressive Lagoon with warmer pools for swimming. Great for kids, but always aware of the risks brought with the changing tide. The ocean beach was wild and spectacular do not really swimming weather. There were some nice bars snf restaurants, but not overpowering. Very much a Family resort. Fab beach and lagoon. Plenty of free parking (I expect it would be really busy in the summer) . Good bars and restaurants at the beach. Would recommend the Central restaurant in the town centre ...great food at a great price... Worth going to the viewing point which is at the end of the Variante Atlantica on the roundabout especially at sunset...

Foz do Arelho is a beach resort with a freezing Atlantic Ocean back beach with surf and undertow and a much warmer “front “ beach on the crowded lagoon which is very good for a long swim. There is also a great cycle trip to Óbidos through vineyards and orchards.

We stayed in the spacious cottage room adjacent to the house and it was a perfect change from Lisbon's urban setting. Our host and owner was friendly, accommodating, gracious, and freely shared the story of his family's long history in the home. Our room was rustic, but clean, comfortable, and quiet and breakfasts in the yard or on the porch were very good.

We enjoyed our morning coffees and evening dinners on the balcony with the ocean view very much. The apartment was light and spatious, located in a friendly neighbourhood. All of the rooms are very well decorated, have really comfortable beds, and are well equipped (ac in every room). The kitchen need its own shoutout, I have never seen such a well equipped kitchen in a holiday house! The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful, giving us amazing tips with what to do, and where to eat in foz do arelho. I will come back without a doubt! 5⭐️!

It is outside the city center, which makes it a perfect place for resting. But at the same time is only a lesd than 10 min ride to Caldas da Rainha, 5 min to Foz do Arelho and 5 min to the sailing school (sailing, surfing, etc). Beds are really very confortable. There is a nice swimming pool and tennis court shared with other houses.

The owner, Francisco took time to give us a tour of his beautiful estate which meant a great deal to us. The breakfast basket was a special and delicious touch. His recommendation for dinner also was excellent. This little village and accommodation is a must in western Portugal.
