The owners of this delightful historical gem, are incredibly gracious and welcoming. One’s every comfort is their pleasure, gladly. It might not be squeaky clean modern Scandinavian, but it is soul, real and scrumptious (also unforgettable)

Historic sites in town but not well presented - most buildings in the castle complex could only be viewed from outside.
Unable to find a good place to eat - no-one (including tourist information staff) able to think of a restaurant offering "Slovak' cuisine!

Nitra is a pleasant town, situated an hour bus ride away from the Slovak capital Bratislava. Nitra is important for Slovaks because of its history, Christian (sacral) architecture and of course, agricultural studies and trade fairs.
I was surprised to also see a Synagogue, which is in a very good condition. It has a unique Moorish and Art Nouveau style.
I recommend also a walk up the small hill to see the Calvary and enjoy the view at the whole Nitra.
There is a lovely vegan and vegetarian place (open only 11.00-14.00) in the Nitra centre on the Farska street, I ate their main course as well as falafels, delicious! Last but not least, it's good to go for a walk next to the nitra river, it's pleasant

A quiet, comfortable city for those who like a relaxing holiday. It is definitely worth a visit to the main historical attraction of the city - Nitryansky Grad. Very nice place with a long history. You can climb the tower, take a walk in the park and sit in a cafe with a wonderful view of the city.

It was a nice change to be in a city that had not been overrun by tourism. The pedestrian area had many restaurants/cafes and of the two we used the food was high quality and eating alfresco at 2200 hours was very pleasant. Pope John Paul II chose to visit Nitra - a good decision - a wonderful statue of him in the grounds of the castle and a brilliant view of the city from the cathedral bell tower. With the exception of the swimming pool complex in the park, probably not that interesting for children. There is a direct bus from Bratislava airport to Nitra which you should pre-book, especially on the return journey.

I visited Nitra on a business trip, but had the opportunity to spend some time exploring the town,
It is a lovely town with a good mixture of old and modern architecture, with the occasional 1950's Soviet inspired block dotted around. The Castle and Cathedral on top of the hill, are well worth a visit. as you get fabulous views over the surrounding countryside and the baroque interior to the cathedral is awe inspiring.
There are numerous places to eat in the town, all offering good value fro money
The hotel is right near the city centre, which is a big plus. Also, the hotel has it's own parking, which was also a plus when I reserved. Everything was nice and clean, we got a medium sized room with a view of the city center square (and also a view of the Nitra Castle to the left, which was nice). Air conditioning in the room was also very welcome. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean, everything was OK. Breakfast was good but I would fancy a bit wider variety of food.
There are many things to like. The staff are very friendly! The communication with them and any help on the spot was always well handled and polite. The rooms are very comfy. The breakfast is smaller in options but nice quality and just enough to start your day! I this time tried their sauna and jacuzzi and that was fantastic as well. It is my second visit to this hotel so I highly recommend it!
Whenever you travel to Western Slovakia make a stop in Nitra and stay at Hotel 11. It is probably the best hotel in town. The terrace with view to the castle is fantastic and the rooftop SPA will blow you away. Breakfast is fantastic, the staff super friendly and helpful. This is the third time we came to Nitra, always stayed at Hotel 11. We will be back!
Very nice, modern Hotel, next to the River. Good location. I went for Business Trip, visiting Nitra Expo. Walking distance from the Accommodation, The Staff is very friendly with very good English knowledge. Food is perfect. The room was clean and big enough. WIFI strong in the room. Nice view for the City and the River. Parking next to the Main Building.
Exceptional service from all members of staff during the entire stay.
Our car had a minor technical issues and even though bad weather and weekend, they immediately managed to get a trustworthy repair service for great costs and helped us out. Great hotel management. Great breakfast, private wellness and awesome location. Would definitely go again.
We loved our stay! The apartment was spacious, comfortable and in a convenient location. The hosts were easy to reach if we had questions and checked in with us throughout our stay. We visit family in Nitra often, and will definitely stay here again in the future!
There is a bar in the hotel which allows smoking. There is a terrible smoke smell at reception and you can also smell it on the first floor at breakfast . I think its against the law to smoke inside in Slovakia
The hotel was very modern with a large, convenient, well-equipped, nice room. The service at the hotel including the restaurant was at very high level. All food was especially delicious.
The hotel was located in a very central part of the city. You could reach everywhere easily. Taxi rides are reasonably priced. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and fresh. The hotel location is very close to the downtown. The WiFi is stable and of good speed.
Nice and clean place, quiet location, friendly stuff, restaurant with terrace and good pizza. Would recommend and stay again when visiting Nitra in the future.
