We originally booked the bungalow with just a fan, but as it was soooo hot, they let us upgrade to the bungalow with the aircon unit. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was also lovely. It was beautiful waking up to watch the sunrise. Easy to walk to a restaurant /mini mart, otherwise you need a scooter / taxi.

This place is magical!!!! So quiet and picturesque! The rooms are super spacious with your own balcony, big fridge, great AC, and good hot shower! Easy to rent a motorbike from the owners whom are so lovely, they even came and picked us up from the pier for free! Would love to come back here!!

We were stay for the night but wish we had booked for much longer, we will definitely be back to explore more of the island as it was the perfect spot to celebrate my birthday. We stayed at Santhiya and had such a wonderful time the trip was outstanding, I'd definitely recommend this little slice of paradise.

The food was excellent value for money, both breakfast and dinner. The host was so lovely, really helpful and kind. She organised a long tail boat trip for us to Hong Island and also took us and collected us from the pier. We had a fabulous day thanks to her. She also organised for us to have a massage in our room. She always went above and beyond to help.

A great island, just like other Thai islands used to be before they became too busy with large hotels. Quiet beaches and friendly locals.
The relatively long speed boat journey from Phuket will prevent large groups from visiting: a real positive! Worth taking a trip around the island to discover how the local economy still works.

Lovely place to stay in the middle of the island.
Lovely place to stay in the middle of the island. It has just reopened, so I was the first guest and treated very well!
So great to hear the sound of Nature at night, looking at the stars. If you're lucky, you'll see fireflies.
The place is simple, you get everything you need, the beds are big, confortable, a good night sleep! The hostess is very nice and will help you with everything you need.
Many cats around as the hostess look after them with so much love. Glad to support a business where part of the money goes for animal care.
Thank you! I loved my stay.

We loved our villa. We had a private pool.
We loved our villa. We had a private pool. The resort had 2 more pools, one was infinity and the other one on the beach level. But we didn’t feel the need to go there because of the private pool that we had with the villa.
We had dinner in Chantara restaurant every single night that we stayed the fool was delicious. We eat halal and they provided halal food.
Overall the experience was so good that we are planning a longer trip next year with the whole family.

Exceptional. Amazing. An experience we will never forget.
Exceptional. Amazing. An experience we will never forget. The hotel is so underrated and the pics on the different websites don't give any credit to this place. It's a paradise. All guests we met were had the same review. Rooms are amazing and comfortable. The resort is like a nature reserve. The infinity pool great with spectacular views, you never want to leave. The beach has hammocks. Breakfast and restaurant were lovely. The attention to details was certainly clear. You can also get luck with game viewing (we saw a Water monitor!) - Paradise! Recommended to everyone and anyone.
We only stayed for 1 night and it was great. Wished we booked 1 more night at this hotel because it deserved it and so did the Ko Yao Yai island. It is really beautiful and is just perfect to be explored by scooter.
The hotel's restaurant, which is located right on the beach, is a really good one, we ate there 2 times.
The staff is really friendly and helpful.
Overall speaking, I don't think that we could have chosen a better accommodation in our budget in Ko Yao Yai.
This hotel is the best in the area, I feel I can say this as I have stayed in another top hotel in the area and the Royal yao yai is the best as has such a personal feel, the staff are accommodating, friendly and professiona but also have such great sense of humour. I stayed in the Royal room and its perfect, so clean, modern and beautiful white sheets. Bed and pillow so comfortable. View beautiful. Thank you to all staff at the Royal yao yai Hotel.
Spacious comfortable room. Huge bathroom and great view from the balcony and spa bath! We didn’t have a private pool but no problem at all. The neighbouring hotels appear to have teamed up to create the best of all worlds. Great breakfast at Hillside Resort, wonderful beach front pool and delicious beach front restaurants just a short walk away. The room had everything you could possibly wish for right down to the smallest detail. Great stay!
We had a great stay at sunrise beach resort, the room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The hotel is so well taken care off, the gardens and views are beautiful. The family are so kind, friendly and accommodating which you will find runs through the whole island, everyone is so lovely. We have been to Koh Yao Yai 4 times and this was our favourite place, highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back again.
the location is 5* the hotel and service 3* - that being said, this island is the best, a lot of locals, small restaurants with amazing food, the pools in the hotel are very nice and the beach is super calm! perfect of a quiet stay, I was here for 3 days and wish it was longer, the rooms are clean, also you can use paddle boards, kayak as much as you want
The Thai hotel concept of Santhiya comes to its perfection here at Koh Yao Yai. The wood carved buildings are fascinating as such not to mention some of the best views including sunsets from your own balcony/pool. The breakfasts including views and adjacent pool are equally stunning. A unique experience for couples as well as gathering families.
We liked the room with jacuzzi pool. Great views. Breakfast OK with a mix of buffet and chef choices.
Assistance with personal transport and local tours very helpful. The island hopping suggested by staff was great.
Transport connections from Phuket airport to the resort were fine with a good ferry set up.
It was one of the best places we stayed in Thailand.
lovely hosts, helpful and friendly, giving lots of useful advices about the landscape/activities
great food!
stunning view from the terrace/restaurant
very cosy bungalows, huge bed, super comfortable
possible to rent a scooter at the place
We spent wonderful time in this resort, they pay attention to every detail.
Our villa was amazing, had all what we need, clean.
The staff is soo helpful.
We’ve only stayed for 3 nights but it’s a great place to spend time away from the noise and just relax the whole time. Loved it!
The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location, which is truly breathtaking. We also liked the size of the hotel, which is small compared to its neighbours to the left and right. If you are looking for value for money on Ko Yao Yai, this is definitely the hotel for you.
This resort is amazing, it is so so beautiful! The room was gorgeous! But also the restaurant and the bar and swimmingpools. It is also located on the beach which is amazing.
The breakfast is absolutely amazing as well! Best we had in Thailand.
The sweetest owner ever. We rented scooters from her to explore the island, ordered ferry and taxi with her, she got us a bottle of water everyday, she made us breakfast and she got us the best recommendations of Ko Yao Yai.
Everything is at superlative! The staff make you feel you are a king/queen. There are a tone of things to do, places to stay, food to eat. Traditional live music at breakfast and dinner. Affordable prices vs Krabi.
The staff was amazing. Sleeping in the tent was so peaceful and unique. The resort is a bit away from the central area of Koh Yao Yai, but this is no problem because motorbikes are available for rent!
The rooms. The pool. The location. The view. It was really just a great place to stay. The restaurant in the hotel had great food and it was a short walk to a variety of local restaurants.
We loved everything about this hotel. Perfect hotel on the most beautiful beach. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the staff were amazing and the location couldn't be better.
the property is very new, excessively clean and gorgeous. might be the nicest owners of a hotel I ever met, very kind and the service was A++++ I would 100% stay here again.
