Set in beautiful and well maintained gardens. Quiet corner of the town where you could be ignorant of the bustle elsewhere. Breakfast terrace right next to beach with view of mountains behind the sea. Very good breakfast especially the freshly cooked omelette, freshly squeezed orange juice and Turkish yoghurt. Nice swimming pools with loungers and bar service and lovely outlook on gardens, bougainvillea draped hotel walls and mountains behind.
You could swim directly off the beach in front of the hotel or even more spectacularly off rocks a few hundred metres away

The staff were extremely friendly and welcomed us for the week as if we were family. We especially loved playing games of backgammon with Esra on the terrace in the afternoons. She offered us some excellent recommendations for places to visit during our stay and accommodated any need we had.
We looked forward to getting up every morning to have the delicious and fresh breakfast. There was never a shortage of yummy Turkish mezzes made with fresh ingredients - best way to start the day! Another absolute plus was that there was a filtered water station at the reception, which helped us to fill up our water bottles (rather than buying new plastic ones everyday).
The room was perfectly clean and very private. The hotel was excellently located for our needs, very calm and peaceful ambience due to being on the edge of the woods, but only a short walk to the town. We discovered a shortcut to the coves that made our trips to the water even shorter!
This place exceeded our expectations on every level and we will absolutely revisit in the future! Thank you to Ayka hotel and Esra for their warm Turkish hospitality!

All staff were very helpful, friendly, and professional. The pool was great. The breakfast spread they provided every morning was fantastic. It was a delicious traditional Turkish breakfast and was very filling. The beds were comfortable, and the mini bar was stocked with lots of choices. The hotel is right in front of the river and you could walk along the river to the restaurants, bars and beach, it was honestly such a lovely stay and I would definitely return. I 100% recommend.

Beautiful views from the balcony. Great swimming pool.
If you need a full rest and recharge, this is the place.
If you need a full rest and recharge, this is the place. If in search of thrills and wild parties, you'll be disappointed. When the night comes, apart from Akyaka, there are no lights for as far as the eyes can see. One does not need a car to move around as it is tiny and cozy place. If you wish to go to the beaches outside Akyaka, there are always cabs, and they are not a rip off.

Hotel Baga is located just out of Akyaka town.
Hotel Baga is located just out of Akyaka town.
It takes about 20 minutes to walk into Akyaka. Or take a taxi which are inexpensive.
The area feels like it is in upmarket resort of about 4/5 hotels which all have excellent views of the sea, There are extensive sunbathing areas, some more private than others.
Akyaka town is a busy town with lots of eateries and bars too numerous to mention. We ate at a number of establishments. There are a number of high end bars which are very modern and still little bars/eateries that are more traditional. Something for everyone.
We did a Riverboat cruise (again) which was enjoyable and walked to the beach with the Windsurfers.
It was a little cold at night towards the end of September so take a jacket (just in case)
We visited Delli Memet for cocktails etc. Lovely set of servers who were very attentive and respectful.
We also visit a lovely restaurant just off the beach in Akyaks, very near to Yuculin Hotel. Where you overlook the kayaks in the sea; we have been there a few times and the food is lovely. You can then walk along the boardwalk towards where the boats are moored.

Beautiful charming town with river Azmak and unique architecture. Excellent location with a good climate.
There is a variety of restaurants with local and international cuisine.
Besides local beach there are few great bays 15 minutes away by foot.
If you are into kitesurfing, you must visit local Kite beach which is 15 minutes away by car.
There are few excursions worth of going to the beautiful bays for swimming and Sedir island with Kleopatra beach. Cooling in Azmak river just the way locals do is a must!

Akyaka has the most friendly people and welcoming charm...
Akyaka has the most friendly people and welcoming charm about it. The staff in all the restaurants are wonderful and very attentive. Great food and plenty of bars with live music in the evenings. Still away from the normal touristy and very popular with the Turkish people themselves as a holiday resort. Quite small but perfect for a totally chilled week in the sun with plenty going on should you wish for it. Wonderful, cannot recommend enough. If you want pumping nightclubs its not for you but the bars are open till late and the atmosphere and friendliness is second to none.
Nice cosy apartments, equipped with everything you need. There is a parking. The apartments is in the centre, close to the beach, restaurants, shops, but the apartments are located on a quiet street.
We would like to emphasise the hospitality of the host. Constantly in touch with any questions. Regular cleaning with a change of linen. I recommend for accommodation in Akyaka.
The main thing is the atmosphere!you have to come and just relax…not to worry of anything.
The nature is to die for!!!it’s outstanding.so peaceful.many birds singing.hosts are very welcoming!
Breakfast in the garden is the best start of the day.its very nice
Akyaka is in my heart now-the city is a gem of the Aegean shore
This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. It’s close to the downtown area, the beach, and the river but away from the noise. The hosts are amazing. The breakfast was the best we’ve had during our two weeks in Turkey. Definitely do the river boat ride in town on a sunny day.
Well equipped kitchenette. Balcony. Bathroom. A bit up the hill but still walking distance to the center. The good side is it is quieter at night. Certainly recommend getting a boat trip in the Gökova bay area. They set sail from Akyaka docks.
The hotel was nice and clean. Excellent location, close to the beach and the Azmak Creek. Also very close to the boats where you can take daily tours.
The hotel staff was nice.
Breakfast was open buffet with good selection.
The location is the top. It is very central and really close to the beach, bars, and restaurants. The rooms are clean and spacious. The AC is the top, as it gets really warm during the night.
Awesome pier for jumping off (and seaside dining/drinking). Ice cold mountain spring water pond with a sort of outdoor shower was interesting. We also saw a tortoise on the hotel grounds!
the apartment is up on the hill with great views of the sea and the town. kind of far away from the beach, but managable if you have a car. the staff was nice and tried to be helpful.
Perfect location, friendly staff and exceptional breakfast are the key highlights of the Totelya. We spend a couple of days at Totelya to try out kite surfing at akyaka kite beach.
