We had a comfortable weekend stay at the Hampton Inn in Childress, TX. Our event was my High School Reunion, located in Wellington, TX. Only a short 30 minutes away. The front desk manager, Elva was exceptionally helpful with making sure that our small requests /room type were implemented. Our King Suite room was super comfortable, the pillows were just right. The long desk/table in our suite was awkward & wasn’t needed. The Hampton Inn location was perfectly located off of 287 /Hwy 83, Walmart was next door and Starbucks was a couple of traffic lights away. Hampton Inn & Childress, TX thanks for your hospitality.

I was passing through on my way to Spring.
I was passing through on my way to Spring. Childress had a lot of hotels to choose from. There were a lot of gas stations that had coffee and beverage options, as well as restaurants. If you happen to arrive in Childress, Texas at the end of a day of travel, it is a town with everything a traveler might need. I doubt many people will make Childress a vacation destination, but it is a good stopping place for the night.

We had a cordial experience in the office. Our room was motel-style and looked a little outdated from the parking lot. We parked immediately in front of our room (wonderful concept!). Once inside, it was quite a pleasant room. The bedding was nice and the mattress was comfortable. The bathroom was sparkling clean. The laminate wood flooring was new and very clean. The room was very large, which is nice after a week of cramped hotel rooms. We all slept great. The restaurant in front of the hotel is ran by the same couple and the food was fantastic!
