We stayed at several Days Inns over our month in Texas and all were good value and well run. This one is tatty. We had issues with the room we booked. The breakfast was poor.

Close to a lot of different things to see like enchanted rock, and Fredericksburg. it was easy to get around Kerrville and close to the Guadalupe River. The restaurant on the river was good. I think it’s called Willa jeans. There is also a nice walk along the river.

It's not Kerrville, itself, that draws visitors.
It's not Kerrville, itself, that draws visitors. It's a quaint, very friendly town, with solid country charm, but really it's just a place to stay while you enjoy the scenery, the festival, or tour other hill country sites. You won't see grandeous, historic cathedrals or courthouses, but they do have antiques and knick-knack stores and such for the ladies, and Hill country folk are just the best!

We were only there for one day (two nights), but got a chance to drive around the old town area while we were there.
We had several restaurants on our radar and tried Del Norte for a great breakfast on Sunday, Billy Genes for a perfect dinner with a river view, and Rio Rancho Cafe for breakfast on our way out. We highly recommend all three. I you like fresh tamales, be sure to stop at Rio Rancho. They make everything in-house, and they know what they are doing!! It was hard to make our choices! My fav detail...they serve breakfast all day.

We were happy to know we would get our regular room #118, but when we got there, we were told "NO, you'll be in room #119. So, we went in the room and the TV was not working, HOT water was not available for a shower & the heater was not functioning either. Then to top it off the manager stated there were no other CLEAN rooms available, are you serious man?
One elevator that moved very slowly and rooms these types of heat/coolers always cause the room to feel damp but overall this is a very good value for the money. Towels are very small and thin, but there are 3 kinds of pillows on the king sized bed and I loved that. I normally sleep on a temperpedic pillow. I was very happy to see that one of the pillows on the bed worked just fine since I forgot to bring mine. Also the free breakfast was really decent. Overall, very decent 3 star hotel.
Exactly as described. It’s pretty no frills but it doesn’t advertise to be a luxury hotel. Staff was friendly and timely with any issue. Rooms very clean. Be sure you bring your own hand soap, etc. Beds were firm but not uncomfortable at all. A/C kept the room nice and cool. Being able to park right next to the door was great. It was easy to get to the downtown and was a quiet area.
It is centrally located. We were able to walk down to the river for sunset. Then over to Mamacita’s for incredible Mexican food. There is so much to do and see right there. We were going to sample the pastry shop next door but ran out of time. 😀
Inside, the cottage is super cute. We loved the decor and comfortable bed. Thank you for making our stay in Kerrville so special.
I liked the fact that the window opened and I could get a nice breeze coming in. And I liked that we were facing the pool, even though we didn’t use it. The shower was nice and hot and good water pressure. The price came out to about 140 a night. Which seems high to me for a low budget hotel, but this is Kerrville.
It's close to everything in the Hill Country. The girl at the front desk was funny & engaging. Super clean! I have a store out at Fredericksburg Trade Days & have stayed at most hotels between Boerne & Kerrville, this location is the best, especially for the price.
The Hotel is a little old & tired but the staff were friendly and room was clean and functional. Added bonus was guest washer/dryer, (much appreciated when traveling). The pool was a great relief during the heatwave.
There was plenty of lighting so you feel secure. The staff, especially front desk, were very helpful and friendly. The hotel facilities and the grounds were all very clean!
The Y O Ranch hotel is my favorite place to stay in the Hill Country of Texas. The rooms are always spotless and the restaurant is great. I will return.
