You get what you pay for. Cheaper hotel but it had flying ants in the bathroom that did bite, missing tiles in bathroom, very loud and clunky AC and no coffee in room. Breakfast was a minimal continental type. Bed was comfortable and we were only in the room to sleep so we didn’t change hotels.

Even though when you see Wyndham Gardens on the internet and they trick you into seeing that it's nice and they offer many amenities, they do not. THEY DONT EVEN HAVE A MANAGER OR SUPERVISOR SO YOU BETTER PRAY EVERYTHING IS PERFECT BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE THERE CAN HELP...AND SOME CANT EVEN SPEAK TO YOU OR UNDERSTAND YOU BECAUSE THEY DO NOT EVEN SPEAK OR UNDERSTAND ONE WORD OF ENGLISH...ALSO BREAKFAST YOU CANT TAKE NOT ONE ITEM BACK TO YOUR ROOM.OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED. SOME OF WHAT YOU WOULD CALL RUN DOW HOTELS WOULD PROBABLY PROVIDE BETTER SERVICE TO YOU, As this was my experience.

The place is falling apart.
The place is falling apart. Towels and beddings should be replaced. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. But the bed was suprisingly comfortable and room quiet which was really nice as the hotel is close to the airport.

Got to the property after paying own transportation to get there when they advertised a shuttle from the airport. No electricity, flooding, toilets were not working people charging phones in nearby hotels. Unable to cancel my appointment on their system due to no power, so they said I had to contact booking who refused to refund me for a room I did not stay in due to no power and electric. Avoid booking and this hotel at all cost worst customer service experience ever

The main entrance was closed.
The main entrance was closed. They should have had better signage to show where it was. After going around the Hotel twice, I called to find out how to enter. It was a side exit behind the gas station that was in front of the door. We walked down a long dark hallway to where the front entrance was. The floors were all torn up, there was plastic covering the area that used to be the front desk. The young girl was very nice and said we could see the room first. I told her I wanted to check if the TV and Air were working. She rushed us out of the room before the TV came on. We went and finished checking in, went out to get our bags, went back to the room to find out the TV was not working and the bed was queen size and not the King that we paid for. I went back to the front desk that was just portable tables set-up in the main room and asked for a room with a working TV and a king bed. There was a new girl there, she just stood there looking at the computer. I thought she was looking for a new room for us. After standing there for 10 minutes I asked her again if we could get another room. She replied, it's been 15 minutes and we needed to change rooms before that. I tried to be as nice as possible and asked her again to change rooms. I asked if they even had a room with a king bed and a working TV. She wouldn't even answer me. I said I would like a refund. She told me I was rude and refused to talk to me. We went back to the room and retrieved our bags and left. I have never be treated that way at a hotel.
The first room we were given didn't have glass panes in the window, just a mesh screen (no joke). The duty staff member moved us. 30 mins after being in our second room a violent domestic dispute began in the room next to us. We come from a very rough city ourselves, so we can generally read a bad situation and this one warranted police attendance. Staff were not concerned when we notified them and would not call police. The hotel was obviously being used for drug / sex solicitation and other illegal fronts.
I reserved a king size bed room but when I arrive to the hotel they didn't tell all the king room were occupied so they just gave me a double room that smell like smoke so when I to the room that was all the way on the other side of the building I had to drive all the way back to the office an then I was told there where no more king rooms left after driving all the way from Cleveland Ohio an had to find somewhere else to stay I was very disappointed with the late night staff
The property is a decent location, near the airport but not in jet blast range, so it’s fairly peaceful.
The rooms are clean and the hotel has a good vibe. The staff were amazing, huuuge shoutout to Faatimah at the concierge desk.
The rooms also have pretty darn great water pressure and good quick heat. Also, if you’re a selfie junkie the lighting in those bathrooms is pretty good. Just… sayin.
It was too early for us to want to eat breakfast and we just wanted to get to the airport, but it looked like it was available for those who would want it even at such an early hour. We were not at the hotel very long from 9:30 pm to 5:30 am the next day, since we just needed to get close to the airport for our early morning flight. The hotel worked great for this purpose.
The location was under acceptable the blanket was a blanket from jail the hallway and carpet was ran down had a crackhead woman running in and out clerk lady was not pleasant at all I would never recommend anyone who flies into dtw to stay at this hotel Quality Inn is a disgrace they should not even be on your list
Booking.com never checked for availability and I was not able to check in at 2am despite going through booking.com. Booking.com dropped the ball by not verifying availability by phone while I was on the line with their agent. The hotel staff were courteous. Avoid booking.com if you are in a pinch.
My connecting flight got cancelled and I got stuck in Detroit. This was one of the very few hotels still available and for booking it less than 24h in advance it was quite good regarding the price. The breakfast was quite good and there was a free shuttle to the airport.
My confirmation from booking.com didn't go through to the hotel, so I ended up having to book directly with the hotel. The staff person working that night was incredibly helpful and kind and helped me solve that problem without any extra financial burden.
The little bar/restaurant at this hotel was excellent! Which was a good thing, because we were on foot and there was no other restaurant within pleasant walking distance.
Our room was clean. Staff were helpful and efficient.
I arrived very late (after midnight) and someone was there to check me in right away. The breakfast in the morning had a good selection. The hotel is also very close to the highway which made my drive the next day easy.
Our flight time changed so we didn’t require a hotel after all. I let this Hotel know 2 days in advance and have recently found they went ahead and charged me over $400 for this room. No one will return my calls.
Transportation from airport to hotel we had been awake for over 27 hours due to international travel booked room to sleep til we could connect with pick up travel we are in our 70’s
near Detroit airport, that's the greatest benefit. And although outdated, it was clean. Hot water. Parking place. The breakfast was a "better ok". There were no noisy guests.
