The breakfast was middle of the road comfort food. Fresh and warm. The toaster blew a fuse however. It couldn't be fixed because nobody had a key to the room with the fuse box. POOR organizing.

SHARK TOOTH HUNTING! YOU HAD BEACH ITEMS WE COULD BORROW
The area is beautiful. We love going down to beach area also the restaurants are amazing. Unfortunately our hotel between the roaches and duct tape for holders to open up cabinets was completely unsatisfying. The beds were very uncomfortable overall that place needs to be redone.

We actually stayed in Nokomis which is near Venice.
We actually stayed in Nokomis which is near Venice. It is laid back and great for couples or solo travelers. Downtown Venice didn't seem very busy or crowded. We just did a drive by in Venice but it didn't look like much was going on midweek.

Very much a retirement community.
Very much a retirement community. Restaurant choices were very much chain, safe and bland. There were roundabouts that were semi traffic circles, which makes them confusing to people who don't use them.

We liked Venice and surrounding areas and the Best Western was in a great spot. Restaurants in the area were very good. The Red Grouper right across the street was a great local hangout with super food and very nice service.

Venice and Nokomis are my favorite places in Florida.
Venice and Nokomis are my favorite places in Florida. It is nice, cozy, friendly people live there and it would be the best place to live and raise your family.
Venice offers lots or restaurant, beaches and shopping opportunities. You can go fishing, jet skiing or rent a boat at any time, visit gators in Snook Haven or do a canoe tour on the Myakka River.
The location was excellent for its proximity to the beach and the downtown Venice area. The park across the street was pleasant to walk through and the interpretive signs along the paths were very informative regarding the history of the city as well as the historic neighborhood. I was in Venice over the Christmas weekend in order to be near family members, but I looked forward to returning to my own space in the evenings without having to go through a hotel lobby and elevators. I also enjoyed spending a little time by the pool.
It's a great property and the room was clean! Location is obviously the reason we chose this and with the beach access would totally stay again. Saw a lot of wildlife and was great to just dock in our SUP in the backyard. Bay in the back.. beach in the front. And you can text them if you need anything after hours. If you like to cook, the kitchen has everything you need and there are grills on the beachfront side. A private beach with towels available (super absorbent) and chair rentals are great and beautiful sunsets.
The family running the hotel was incredible. They were so sweet and accommodating. Rooms are quaint, but they made a great use of the space. The rooms are very pretty with nice wooden accents on ceiling and doors. Pool was open around the clock. The location was great; directly across from Venice High School. 5 minute drive to Venice Beach; 15 minutes to Englewood Beach; 30 minutes to Siesta Key Beach; 30 minutes to Lakewood Ranch and 25 minutes to Bradenton Beaches.
I love Venice Beach Villas! I will be choosing this location any time I travel to southwest Florida. The rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and cozy. We had everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen, we also used the grill! I would highly recommend this vacation property. I enjoy being so close to the beach, I walked to it daily. I also enjoyed walking to historic downtown Venice, many cute shops and very delicious places to eat!
The blue vacation house is in an ideal location half way between downtown Venice and Manasota beach and Siesta beach. The house is clean quirky and has great facilities with lovely outside space. Ewa was extremely helpful and no query was a problem. For us it was the ideal relaxing location for a few days by the beach. Shops very close by.
We loved this location of Venice, the beach access and pool was great. Unit 19 was very nice...very well decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The unit is very well equipped with beach chairs and toys including sand rakes for searching for shark teeth. We loved this vacation and would return to this unit again.
The location was great; close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The pool was wondeful, very clean and warm. We appreciated that we had the use of beach chairs, shark teeth finding equipment, and bikes. The owners were very friendly and helpful. This is the second time we have stayed here and it won't be the last!
Cozy older hotel in Venice. Dog friendly which makes it very nice for me. I felt safe here as everything is well lite at night. And your four-legged friends will love you for taking them to the dog park that’s right on the beach famous in Venice Florida.
Everything was very clean and organized, Michael and Chuck were such sweathearts and very kind, super easy to get to the beach in about 5mins by car, nice community, everyones friendly, would go back anytime:)
Clean , friendly, great breakfast, very nice elderly lady did my check in super pleasant, quiet, comfortable, great access to all areas to different beaches in Venice
The condo is steps from Venice Beach and the Crow's Nest is down the street a block. Everyone was very friendly. The weather was awesome. Great place to be.
