I have not stayed at Picnic Bay on Magnetic Island before & so after this experience, I will certainly go back to that part of the island. OK. Moreover Roxanne was terrific host. Provided you have a car or bike, then the position is terrific.

The house itself is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen fully equipped. There's also a big pattio in the garden, where we could relax and eat in the shade. We loved waking up to the sound of birds. It's just a short walk to Picnic Bay beach, which has a stinger net. This is also where the bus stops, so it's easy to travel to Nelly Bay or other parts of the island. The owners are very lovely and helpful.

The hosts were very helpful and kind. Well supplied kitchen with cooking utensils, gas oven, coffee maker, four slice toaster, good size fridge and freezer, great undercover outdoor area with own fridge/freezer and bbq. Great setting for photography and of course Yallambee the koala in a tree adjacent to the property. Walking distance to the foreshore, the jetty and the eateries.
