The host was extremly nice, the room was not big but very cosy and well furnished. We felt very good, the breafast was deliciuos. It was nice that we could prepare a meal in common kitchen. The hot tub was very relaxing after the long trip. The Castle is at the shore with nice views from the windows.

Cosy retreat in a wild and remote location (especially lovely feeling with the wind whistling outside), yet accessible on our route (driving through spectacular scenery) to rejoin the ring road after a detour north. Small and simple kitchen facilities, but plenty for cooking dinner and breakfast. Cabin has everything you need, lovely and warm and peaceful in a dramatic landscape. Good wifi, easily fast enough to watch films. Good communication too from host Soffia, thank you.

We stay in the cabin. It was nicely furnished with a double bed and a small kitchen. Which has a toaster and a coffee machine. It’s is good enough for us to make our breakfast. The bed is cosy and comfortable. The toilets is big enough for us to shower. Hot water runs well. We particularly like the privacy that this cabin provides. Everything inside looks very new and well maintained. We would highly recommend this to anyone. Btw there’s a Ev charging port just in the house.

Collected keys from the reception next door. There are 4 or 5 cottages in their own secluded plot. There was an oven so we had bought food at Búðardalur and had a cosy night in. Good sized bathroom for a cabin and comfy bed.

Quiet, cosy, very clean and well-equipped cabin with good heating if needed. Good cooking facilities for self catering, and reasonably priced (for Iceland) Dalakot restaurant in the town 15 minutes drive away. Very kind staff who returned a valuable item by post that I left behind and did not have time to return to collect before leaving Iceland.
