This stay was magical. The amenities were exceptional, and the house was extremely clean and relaxing. The onsen bath was a really great way to relax. We ended up cancelling our plans so that we could spend the day relaxing at the house instead. It was so peaceful and beautiful. The beds were so soft, and the quality of the bedding, toiletries, and the tea/coffee/ice cream/milk were really high! The owner was exceptionally nice, and he has a restaurant that we went to for dinner. I have dietary requirements, and they went to a huge effort to source ingredients that I could eat and prepared a delicious and extremely well priced meal. Everything about this stay was exceptional!

We liked everything. It was a wow effect! The facilities, so clean, so modern, so very well thought through, comfort beds and futon, amazing kitchen, huge veranda and a fire place on it. In the forest, quiet, no one around. It was an amazing experience! Thank you!

Location was great! albeit rather remote but thats not really a bad thing as it was really quiet and serene. We knew about the sauna but didn't realise that the bath was also using onsen water so it was a nice surprise.

Marigold is in a beautiful location a short drive from Kurokawa Onsen. It was difficult to pinpoint using the Japanese map code system or registered phone number. However once near Marigold the owner has placed numerous street signs to assist. The house is very large and can be heated/cooled with AC. The kitchen was functional as we cooked a few meals with no problem. Beds are comfortable. We were able to cast a movie from my phone using local wifi. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Marigold.

As of early Feb 2023, the property is new. The host send us the entrance code 2 days before the check-in date and had an online video call when we arrived at the property. The beds are comfy. The floor heating is nice. The kitchen came with all necessary equipments. The indoor onsen and sauna is great for the get away. (Luckily, the host was able to fix the hot spring water pump before we arrived)

Here, you can (almost) sleep as you please. 9 bungalows for 9 rooms. Each room has its own private onsen, one indoor and the other outdoor, in addition to the bigger "public" one. Staff is great. Dinner is superb, and so is breakfast. It's far, a bit remote but you must go for a peaceful and very charming moment.

They brought me coffee and snacks on arrival and helped to carry my heavy luggage. Private onsen for a small sum was really just great and beautiful!
