First of all location, when we first found it at Magome we were so excited, pretty building in the prettiest street. The staff was beautiful, so hospitable, the perfect host. Our room was spacious with pretty views. They had a guitar, communal books, cosy lounge. Dinner was the best and breakfast was delicious also with gorgeous staff looking after us during the meal. With his good English he was able to put in the extra effort, always as helpful as possible for his guests. He even offered to drive me to Magome when I told him I was doing the old Nakasendo route! The owners were very friendly and helpful and their house is lovely, in the charming countryside on the old Nakasendo. The room was very nice and the beds confortable. And last but not least, the diner was delicious, made of several dishes each of them tastier than the other. Everything was perfect and we highly recommend Motomiya guesthouse !
