Our host Benedita greeted us as we got out of the car, she was forewarned by her overactive but cute dog Leia; she recruited her daughter Rachel to translate as a go-between for the check-in (thanks Rachel). We later managed very well on our own with a mixture of English, Portuguese, Spanish and a bit of French. Benedita offered us the use of her laundry room for free which we graciously accepted on the spot. You just cannot wish for a better host, we felt that we were treated like family. Thanks Benedita, please say Hello to Luke (her other dog that I wish I could take home).

We liked everything about our stay. The location was perfect, and the hosts were very responsive to our needs. The house is beautiful and unique. We loved its decor and the cork walls, authentic for the Alentejo region. It has all the necessary amenities, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, and a nice outdoor area with access from one of the bedrooms. The hosts recommended using the public parking just outside the city walls, less than 5 min walk away from the house - it was very convenient. We had a wonderful stay!

But what makes this place really really special is the host, Ana! I had a small accident with my back and couldn't check out on time. Ana arranged literally everything for us, from communicating to all the people to finding another place for the upcoming guest. What she did was far beyond what she needed to do and we were truly impressed how helpful she was. She is simply a good and genuine person :)

I liked EVERYTHING here. The place is better than what you see on the website. It is beautiful and peaceful. You are immersed in nature. It was really wonderful. On New Year's eve, we had a beautiful 'family-like' dinner. The area is quite big and you can do your morning walks around the property. The rooms were incredibly clean. The staff, especially the hotel manager were so helpful, polite and supportive. I will go back to this place for sure.
