Verry nice place to stay in Madeira, the appartment was comfortable, clean and had a nice balcony. Everything looks like in the pictures. Carlos is a nice host and he gave us suggestions for levada walks.

Blue Ocean Villa is a brand-new home built into the side of the hill in Ponta da Sol. The view was amazing and the villa was spotless. The TV and Wifi worked great and the kitchen was somewhat stocked - we had to ask for salt/pepper and dishwasher/Laundry detergent but that won't be a problem for the next person and the host was very responsive and brought all sorts of stuff. It is comfortable for 4 people - we were a family of 4 with two teen boys. We had plenty of towels and dishes. The location was pretty good - there are a few little snack bars right next door (we didn't try them though) and we got most of our groceries at a gas station just a 5 minute drive down the hill. A car is definitely necessary here but you are in walking distance to a beautiful local church, great views, and two amazing levada hikes - Levada do Moinho and the one above, Levada da Novo (very dangerous and NOT for little kids though). There is a full BBQ and awesome seating outside though we didn't try the BBQ. Overall it was a great stay.

-Everything was AMAZING and exceeded our expectations, if it were possible we would give 11 out of 10. If we will have a chance to travel again to Madeira, will definitely stay here. -Graciela is a very kind person that helped us to do the check-in; at the day when we arrived she gave the code to the safe with the keys so we could easily park our car and enter the house. During the stay, Graciela was very friendly and was taking care that everything is fine. -We found fruits and drinks on the table, and also food in the fridge. -There is a laundry room with everything you need, where you can easily wash your clothes. -The kitchen is equipped with a lot of stuff, you feel like you are home. -The house is very clean, located in a very quite location with wonderful views. From here you can easily go to other locations on the island (even if on the map they look far away, by car you can easily get there on the highways in 20-40 minutes). -The gas station with a small restaurant inside (Sol Posto, with a very cheap but tasty food) is exactly near the house, and in 5 minutes walk you can get to the local market or other restaurants (we can recommend Santa Tereza with nice meat/fish plates and sangria).

We stayed 1 week and were pleased. Levada Nova is out the back gate and down the stairs. Owners live next door. They cooked us beef skewers (on a stick) one night, which was a great treat. They also provided us with loads of fruit during out stay. Local cake and wine waiting for us upon arrival too. The place was as advertised and the treatment was a bonus. Smooth check in with the property manager Veronica (She was very nice too).
