We loved everything about this property. We spent 10 days there and loved every little thing. The owner came by to explain how everything works (the European showers were tricky for us) and told us we could help ourselves to detergent for the washing machine and dishwasher, soap, shampoo, condiments he kept on the kitchen and he even let my husband used his vinyl music collection, which he really, really enjoyed. Owner was extremely nice, he even let us check in at 8 am instead of 4 pm since our flight arrived really early, which was a life saver. The house is bigger than it looks in the pictures, it's in perfect condition, nicely decorated, and has tons of great amenities, like fireplace, firewood, and large 4kTvs with Netflix, even a grand piano (which my husband, once again, really enjoyed!) We are a family of 5 and there are 5-6 bedrooms so each of us could have our own, beds are really comfortable. The only thing I would suggest is to bring blackout sleep masks if you travel during summer since the bedroom blinds do let the light pass through. The neighborhood is really nice and so close to everything! There are no words good enough to describe how much we enjoyed our stay!

Located 15 km from downtown Reykjavík, Lovely Cabin in the Capital Area with hot tube offers accommodation with a terrace. Free WiFi is featured. This is, indeed, a lovely cabin. We love that it is located higher on the hill so that we have some views, but also listen to the birds closer. The owner sent good directions so it was easy to find. Being that it is in a nature preserve made it feel more special. Quiet and peaceful, and we had a great night's rest. One room had a queen sized bed and the other had bunk beds. Bathroom had a washer/dryer which we didn't use, so I can't speak to it's efficiency. The kitchen was well stocked and we adore the dining nook right next to it. The living room is picturesque and we were falling asleep just relaxing there appreciating the scenery and the place.
