Overlooking Lake Mývatn, this camping site offers cottages with wooden floors, a private bathroom and a terrace. Kjempefin hytte, som virkelig var en positiv overraskelse. Flott lavafelt utenfor og kort til så mange severdigheter. Vi laget mat selv , og alt vi trengte var der. Stille og rolig område.

A recently renovated holiday home set in Reykjahlíð, Myvo The Studio apartment at Geiteyjarströnd 4 features a garden. Such a lovely cosy apartment with windows all round and overlooking Lake Myvatn. It was the perfect place to relax and hope to see the Northern Lights from the big balcony outside. The place was thoughtfully designed as open plan with nice touches such as candles and rugs. The underfloor heating was very efficient and plenty of kitchenware plus oven, stovetop, microwave, washing machine etc. We had looked at slightly cheaper options nearby but I think it was worth paying a little extra for this one. Would highly recommend!

Skútustadir Guesthouse ligger på en gård ved sørbredden av Mývatn og har fjellutsikt, felleskjøkken og en felles salong. WiFi og parkering er gratis. We absolutely loved staying here. The guesthouse is lovely, the kitchen is huge and room was basic but still felt very cosy. We saw the northern lights perfectly, what a great location! There was also 2 farm dogs running around, who were so friendly and cute! The free breakfast in the morning was amazing as well. This is probably our favourite guest stay in Iceland! Highly recommend!

Situated in Myvatn, within 50 km of Godafoss Waterfall, Slow Travel Mývatn - Óli's Homestay-Private house v is an accommodation offering mountain views. Such a cute little home. The owners have worked so hard to share the history of their house and the region. Really well equipped, super comfortable beds, lovely photographs and local ephemera. Extremely warm and cozy. Very eco-friendly and sustainable - top marks for this. We’d definitely return.

Located 49 km from Godafoss Waterfall and offering barbecue facilities, Hlíd Huts provides accommodation in Myvatn. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. It was a cute little hut. There's no bathroom in the room, but they seemed to be very clear about that up front. We enjoyed sitting on our front porch sipping wine and looking over the lava field.
