The architecture is stunning, the rooms are freshened by fans and the pool is great to escape the day’s heat. The house staff is incredibly helpful and Peter was a great caretaker. We would also warmly recommend arranging a tour of the old town and of shela, as well as a boat tour if one wishes, with Abu. Abu is knowledgeable and loves his job; he is a great storyteller and a great artist (ask to see his recycled art). Walking around Lamu with him and learning about this unique place from him was a wonderful experience.

Ejendommen blev bygget i det 19. amazing Swahili house over 3 floors. comfortable for 5/6 people in 3 rooms with more beds in open areas. absolutely stunning place could have spent longer there. we organised for the chef to buy some groceries and cook us breakfast which worked really well.

This villa was gorgeous, in the historic Swahili style of Lamu. We had the loveliest time here. The location is relatively quiet though you are in the middle of town - we walked everywhere easily. There is also good Wi-Fi which was great for us as we were working remotely on some of the days. The rooftop has a lovely breeze and sitting area where the Wi-Fi reaches. There is also a very nice sitting area around the small pool. Jamhuri, who welcomed us on arrival, was friendly and easy to communicate with. With enjoyed every moment of our stay and I would definitely return again.
