It features an outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant. The location and views are amazing and the facilities are beautiful. The owner is wonderful. She goes to a lot of trouble to make her guests feel at home. The dinner was delicious and so was the port wine which we were welcomed to taste. All in all it was a wonderful stay.

The area is popular for hiking and walking tours, and bike hire is available at Quinta de Travassinhos- Douro Valley. The farm stay also features outdoor fireplace and a picnic area for a day out in the open. Amazing house, with beautiful bedrooms. Really peaceful spot. With gorgeous views of the river and the nature. Outside pool really well located and a cool inside pool. The owners are amazing and talented storytellers and hosts. The dinner was spectacular, the wine, the meat, all amazing.

She also runs a small cafe shop, just across the street. There is a large swimming pool - it was too cold for us, but if you arrive in hot days, it looks great.

What an amazing place and warm, wonderful hosts Paolo and Carla make you feel like old friends. Beware, booking.com's directions take you to the wrong house. Follow Google maps to Quinta da Menina Guest house instead and you won't get lost. The place seems brand new but charming. It's spotless and gorgeous. The pool is crystal clear and breakfast is fantastic. Don't make the mistake we made and only book one night. You are going to want to stay at this beautiful oasis and explore the wine area for, at least, a few days. I would have stayed forever if I could.

The layout of the apartment is very nice and we could not have asked for more. The location is excellent. We walked for dinner in the centre every night and it is just a short stroll away.
