What a delightful surprise! I have been traveling since mid April and stayed in a combination of Airbnbs and hotels from South Africa to Zimbabwe, Nice, Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Montpellier, Bordeaux, Broadway in the Cotswold, Falmouth and now Newquay, The White House Hotel has been flat out the best overall lodging experience I have had on my journey. Why? It is because Nicolas is the consummate host attending to your every need. And the attention to detail of what enhances your stay is extraordinary. I was in the Vice President Suite with a view overlooking town to the water, a comfy sitting area, dreamy bed, and all the usual amenities plus thick fluffy towels, milk delivered to your door for your in-room coffee or tea, and a Pillow Spray for good night’s sleep. The cozy parlor is the perfect combination of chic and charm with an honesty bar for your pleasure. And to top it off, a sumptuous breakfast is included. Honestly, the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. I highly recommend The White House Hotel for your stay in Newquay. And to be clear, I don’t work for the hotel nor for booking.com.

Quality of the accommodation was excellent, we had a fantastic sleep , the mattress was very good quality . The area was beside everything, yet very quiet & peaceful ..The lady Cilla had everything covered ,from spare umbrellas to sunhats ! Loved our stay ,we will be back !

The house was well placed with an easy walk to the town. Loved the honesty bar. Free parking is a plus. Very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast, loved the pancakes.

Laura and Kevin were fabulous hosts who looked after us from the moment we arrived. The room was fab and had the most spectacular view and the proximity to the cove beach, including a few heart boosting stairs, meant pre brekkie dips were a must!! Freezing but absolutely revitalizing!! Brekkies were prompt, social with our fabulous co guests , delicious and filling. Proximity to a wide range of options was wonderful!! The headland walks....both north and south were nothing short of awe inspiring and the spring wild flowers added that special bit of colour to life and pics!! Sands restaurant up the road was excellent too with wide range of really tasty options and the staff were warm, welcoming, professional and thoughtful. They added to the entire experience! Thanks a million Laura and Kevin, we also love the standout sky blue colour of THE KENTON and the furniture you had just repainted!!

What didn’t we like!? Everything was just fabulous! The hosts, Jayne and Dean, are the loveliest people, great local knowledge, top notch chef (Jayne), world class service (Dean) and sincerely warm and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish it could have been longer. The room, breakfast, VIEW and location were all 10/10. We mean it when we say, we will be back :)

Perfect! Carol and Mark made us feel really welcome. House is beautiful, on a nice quiet street but with beaches and town a very short walk away. Free parking and delicious breakfasts too. Not surprising that so many people return regularly.

The location was very good, all eateries and bars were in close proximity to the geust house. The hosts were superb nothing was to much trouble. would definately recommend to friends and family.

Chynoweth Lodge, extremely pleasant surprised about the level of cleanliness. It was the cleanest en-suite room, in which I have stayed...UK and abroad, ever...Cleaning was done everyday and it was at high standard. I know what I am talking about as part of my job are hygiene audits. We have stayed for 5 nights. 5 minutes walk to the beach and about 10 minutes from the town center. Breakfast was good. Great quiet location...for couples is perfect.
