Lovely location, close to the slopes and shops (few mins walk) but tucked away in the forest for a bit of tranquility. Great that we as an extended family could all have our own apartments but be close to each other on the same floor.

Probably good for beginners (less than 3 trips). Anything more and you’ll be bored after a day. Resprt is dreadful - like Blackpool on ice. No atmosphere, just bars, average restaurants and limited skiing.
Two good things - Rila hotel is lovely, and Victoria restaurant is a gem amongst some very basic food offerings

Borovets is a great place for families looking for a ski vacation. It's not to hard to get to from Sofia airport. Just 77 minutes away from the airport. The town felt safe and quiet even at night ( at least where we stayed). It has a green slope which is ideal for beginners. The blue and green slopes are right next to each other. This enabled me to see my daughter ski on the blue slope while I used the easier green slope which was too easy for her. The lift is safe and efficient. The slopes are wide enough to accommodate all the skiers without feeling too crowded. There are lots of good options for ski lessons and equipment. Personally I recommend Ollie Moly Ski school and rental. One piece of advice: don't change money to BGN in the airport. You get a much better rate by changing in Borovets. There are plenty of change stores in the town. The town is very close to the ski slopes. There are plenty of places to buy food

Beautiful slopes and lots of chairs available high on the mountains. It is however extremely crowded at the bottom gondola. It opens at 8:30 but at that time the queue is already very long and it's going slowly. We spent almost 45-60 mins staying in the queue at the bottom gondola. Also, the closing time is 4:30 PM. We would have expected that during Febr when the day is longer that they will be open much later than that.

Slopes were not well maintained, especially after it snowed overnight. They would become bumpy quickly after start of the day. Lifts timinings are also stange - cabin starts at 8 am, while Yastrebec Express at 8:30, so if one wants to go up - you have to wait very long time at Mid Station. I think it would be a great idea to leave 2 or 3 cabins empty, every now and then, so people waiting at mid statuon can board quicker.

The resort has seen better days.
The resort has seen better days. As a native from Bulgaria we can see the hordes of people hitting the slopes during the winter(when we visit) and if you plan to visit during the weekend - don't, you will ruin your experience. We are talking about 20minute waits on lifts, no space to walk due to lack of parking spaces to handle the traffic load and so. Week days are still calm and you can actually enjoy it. Another tip - if you want to eat, go to the near by town Samokov(5min drive) instead of eating on the slopes. It costs as much as 50% less and the food is better.
The room is really cozy and gives a lovely home-vibe. The bed was good, there’s enough space and there was a balcony. It’s really clear they put a lot of effort in the details (in the bathroom there were green details everywhere - soap, shampoo, even the details on the toilet paper). Tiny things I’ve noticed which I really liked. I was also surprised about how well-equipped the apartment is. Pans, different cups and wine glasses, cutlery.. all good quality as well.
10/10! I would definitely come back when visiting Borovets again.
Me and my wife tooke the signature room with slopes and mountain view, it was on the 8th floor with excellent view we really like it. The location was perfect directly on the slopes the food was good, the breakfast was excellent with alot of variety we tried the lunch buffet it was ok i dont really recommend. The staff was very friendly specially daniel the door man he helped us with our bags and also he recommend a few places to try and visit nearby. The hotel is excellent choice for a ski trip for sure will be back in the future.
Landmark hotel in top location. I love Borovets, Rila mountain and surrounding hills and plain. Samokov has also changed since my last visit to Borovets 4 or 5 years ago. It is atractive to visit or stop for rest. Sapareva Banja should not be missed. Even a half day soaking in the thermal springs does mirracles. The 7 Rila Lakes take my breath away everytime although I have hiked there a few times.
Moura hotel breakfast is wow 😲. The rooms are clean, the sauna is great. The location is in the middle of Borovets, so it's very close to the gondola and about 5min walk to the other ski lifts. There is a pool table and board games that is really nice to spend time after the ski if you are tired and don't want to go to a bar. The value for money is great compared to other alternatives in Borovets.
Lovely modern design, beautiful studio. All necessary amenities (hobs, oven, dishwasher, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, good hair dryer, etc). Location is in the forest, on a relatively quiet road, far enough from the ugly central part of Borovets yet close to everything you need. Vesi is awesome, very accommodating and helpful.
Absolutely perfect location to skii in Borovets. You can see the slopes from the window and easily ski in and out. The breakfast and dinner were great. Wifi was fast. The staff were super helpful and nice. There is a spa in the hotel and I booked a few massages which were great after a day of skiing.
We have been to Borovets for the last 7 years and stayed in many different hotels. The standard of accommodation and hotel food is generally poor but is reflected in the cost of the holiday. This is by far the worst of them all by a long way. It looked ok but there was nothing I could say I liked.
Ice Angels Hotel is the perfect location within Borovets for skiing and eating/drinking as well as ski hire immediately outside. Our room looked out onto the slopes and 6man lift, and the manager was extremely helpful booking our transfer and extending our room booking due to later flights.
The food was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Lots of parking space and the view from the restaurant was nice. The hotel is located a bit away from Borovets center(not far, just enough) that it was quiet and peacefull.
The apartment is very well positioned, across the street from Rila hotel, close to the ski lifts and restaurants.
During our stay it snowed every day, so having underground parking was really nice.
We would stay in the same place if we visit Borovets again.
The location is very good. The hotel is very close to the center of the town, near the forest. The staff was very friendly.
It was very quiet, so we were able to rest very well, even though we were very close to the center.
We had a one bedroom apartment, which was located in the Flora hotel. The apartment was very nice and comfortable for a family of four. The restaurant and service is very good! We enjoyed our stay and will probably return
We had a wonderful stay at The Lodge Hotel, excellent service (friendly and responsive staff), the best possible location and overall good value if you book in advance, it would be hard to find equal offer at Borovets.
The location was great, really close to one of the slopes. The apartment is part of bigger hotel (Borovets Hills) which is really nice and has facilities such as sauna and pool. Also we did feel safe at all times.
The hotel itself is pleasant. Possibly a little dated but overall comfortable, offers pleasant buffet breakfast/dinner and is just a few steps from the town center and gondola. The apartment was spacious.
We are already the second time in this hotel, returning after 6 years.
Spa is great, pool is very nice, good restaurant (although much more expensive than in Borovets).
Overall we liked it a lot.
Aleksandar and Feri were very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. If you're planning a trip in Borovets this is the ideal accommodation.
We truly recommend TES Flora apartments accommodation. We have been there many times and seen different apartments and that is our first choice for Borovetz.
