Room with side views of the sea and the hotel pool. The room was clean and spacious for 3 people.
We liked that when choosing 2 meals a day, you can eat the second time at any time from 13 to 21 o'clock, that´s very convenient, depending on the day you can have lunch or dinner.
Great seafood meal on Saturday. Good and interesting ready-made salads for dinner, delicious fruits (watermelons, figs, melons).

Beautiful hotel, and the staff were absolutely lovely. My husband hurt his foot in the room and the staff in the bar were SO helpful! Thank you to JESUS, POL and ALEX in the bar for that and everything else incl. their excellent service every day. And thank you to ESTRELLA in the reception, she gave TOP service - and had impressive language skills. They were all SO nice and professional, they made us feel right at home. We cannot wait to come back there.
With its unique split-level swimming pool, the impressive Sumus Hotel Monteplaya-Adults Only holiday hotel is a great place to enjoy a sunny holiday in Malgrat, on the Costa Maresme.

I first visited the area in 2004 on a coach tour, I've now been there four times including the coach tour. Twice I stayed at the same property near the train station and this last time the other end of town close to Santa Susanna. I don't plan on going back in the foreseeable future but I would recommend anyone going to that area. If you have a car visit Tossa de Mar, very picturesque and a lovely drive through the mountains. Calalla is cheaper for food than Malgrat de Mar.

Two cities are very near from the Malgrat de Mar.
Two cities are very near from the Malgrat de Mar. The Botanical garden in Blanes is very beautiful & offers stunning view of the rocky sea side. The Castle in the Tossa de Mar is also must visiting attraction. A boat ride with glass bottom gives glimpse of sea bed & it takes into the caves formed over the millions of years.

When we first arrived we didn’t know that the train line runs straight past the hotels, no all only on the main street, as we arrived late at night. Nor did we know that if you have a transfer they drop you off in the street and have to use the subway to reach some hotels, ours being one. You really must ask for detailed directions from the driver as our first driver didn’t, just said down there nor did he tell us where to go for our return journey. Saying that having the train line in front of our hotel we didn’t hear them much and they don’t go on all night. We have just returned from our 3rd trip so it hasn’t put us off! This time we used a taxi as it turned out around the same price as a transfer but we went from Girona airport, which is closer, straight out the airport and straight into a taxi and dropped off right outside hotel. Nice shops, restaurants, bars and a train station. Train cost around 10 euros to Barcelona. There is a vegan restaurant in the old town. Found Malgrat de Mar to be a friendly place to be in. We stayed in an adult only hotel so can’t really comment on entertainment for children. We did see large inflatables in the sea though don’t know how old children have to be to us them. There is quite a bit of graffiti, which is a shame as our first reaction was shock but we got past that once we had a look round. It’s not party central but does have the bars that I could only wish I got ID for! We went to a bar called Champions, which families use and the younger ones use as a start off point. Just down from there is a tobacconist where you can also exchange your money. Hope this was of some use.

We went for 4 days organised by a others I personally wouldn’t pick the resort again because I drive for work this place is is really far from Barcelona airport that renting a car was the just another expense that and an hours drive then parking not ideal for our hotel , taxi costs € 155 from Barcelona and the same back although if don’t mind trains and public transport it’s a lot cheaper but do research routes etc as they take longer . The beach isn’t great , man made and very stoney and not enjoyable for casual use , local food was good though

I very much liked the room I was given at the top of the hotel with private terrace and beautiful views. The food and drinks were good and reasonable. the flooding on Friday night of the lobby area was
an experience to remember, but overall it was a good stay. Too bad I was alone there to attend a wedding. It would have been even nicer if I had someone to share it with, but it was within walking distance to the venue for the beach wedding so really worked out well.
Room with side views of the sea and the hotel pool. The room was clean and spacious for 3 people.

Great seafood meal on Saturday. Good and interesting ready-made salads for dinner, delicious fruits (watermelons, figs, melons).
The reception staff was friendly.
Hotel close to the beach.
The staff were amazing, cheerful bar staff happy to help reception with a glass of fizz on arrival felt very welcoming and nothing too much trouble, hotel is situated right on the beach so you don't have to walk far for a swim in the sea and watersports very close. Bars and shopping all a short distance just under the underpass and plenty of places to go, only a short ride to Lloret for boat trips cost around 25-30 Euros in a taxi
Very comfortable hotel, nice location not far from beach. Very clean. We also stayed half board. From a moment spent perspective this is was good value for money. Meal times were a bit like a conveyer belt and a free for all but on the whole food quality was good and kept fresh. One downside for me was the pool was uncomfortably cold, I personally couldn’t bear the cold for too long which put a bit of a downer on it for me.
It was ok as we we're only sleeping there, but the walls were so thin that we could hear people talking in other rooms. It is ok for someone who just need a room but it's not the best hotel. The personel was super nice and room clean though so it's not about the people. In our case it was the building itself. Food was not wery good, not much to eat to be honest.
The hotel itself is beautiful, very clean and comfortable. Location is good, very close to the beach and the train station, so it is easy to go to Barcelona and Girona. The staff was very nice, especially Elena from the restaurant, she is very positive and friendly. I loved my stay here.
I liked design of the hotel which is not huge and gives you homey feeling. Inner yard is great. Rooms have some unique antique pieces of furniture.Daily cleaning service. Manager Veisy is helpful and friendly. It is also very close to the Tran station for trips to Barcelona.
We loved every aspect of this holiday! The hotel is outstanding. If you want peace, quiet, quality and relaxation this is perfect for you. Food is amazing! Staff is the best and the yoga classes couldn’t be more welcoming and inclusive. I’m grateful for everything.
The hotel has a great view on the beach, the parking is available for free outside or on the private parking of the hotel for 10e/night
The food is delicious
The staff are great, the room are renovated and clean
I'd love to go back again to this hotel
The hotel was welcoming and staff were friendly. Breakfast was good and there were communal areas that I could work from. The hosts were even kind enough to keep our bag secure that we had forgotten until the following week. Would recommend.
HOTEL: Great, met expectations.
ROOM: GOOD, Clean. Small, at right location at Malgret de Mar.
Small swimming pool.
Good staff.
GREAT BREAKFAST. MUSIC at night at the BAR is worth mentioning.
Unbeatable price.
what was great - the whole hotel, pools, food was fine, the bar and the barwoman (Ms. Gosia Top!), service, the possibility to use a second restaurant as well, lifeguard, reception, like everything... recommended!
Definitely the most welcoming staff I've met at any hotel.
Especially the blonde Sir that did our check-in
Good food, good location and plenty of entertainment.
Had a great time with my family
The Hotel is near to the beach, but there is a railway between the beach and the hotel. The price was good, the food was OK and quite diverse.
