Room very well equipped and very comfortable, excellent breakfast with lots of choice and good value. Free parking at the hotel was very useful on what was a very busy weekend in Pornic, almost impossible to find a parking place in town centre and an easy 25 minute walk to the port.
Situated just 200 metres from the beach, Hotel Particulier LE ROCHER DES MARAIS "Proximité Plage & Vue mer pour certains hébergements" offers comfortable accommodation and a sun terrace.

Maybe the town was sufferring from a little “End of Season Fatigue”, but it looked rather tired and the three meals we had there were very modest, yet expensive. Tne exact opposite of our experience further north in Concarneau and Quimper where the food was excellent and good value.

Pornic is a lovely, small port village well worth visiting for one day. There is a good choice of restaurants near the fishing port as well as in the back streets. The restaurant Coeur de Creme was particularly good. From the fishing port, there is a lovely walk you can do along the coast to see the old fishing huts, which unfortunately are rarely used, and take a view of the island of Noirmoutier.

An interesting port with lots of interest but very busy.
An interesting port with lots of interest but very busy. We only ate in Pornic on one occasion because we did not wish to use the hire car in the evening. Every day we visited a different part of the surrounding area and ate lunch in a local Brasserie. In the evening we made a small snack at Les Mandalas. The hire car was not easy to drive around the narrow streets in Pornic, we had requested a compact car but Europcar gave us a Renault Rifter and said they were not able to change it.

So picturesque, with coastal walks in both directions.
So picturesque, with coastal walks in both directions. Some very good restaurants serving high quality food. L'Orangerie restaurant was excellent with a choice of menus, as was Le Bistronomi'k both in the same street running behind and parallel with the waterfront. Quality of food and presentation outstanding with staff pleasant, helpful, and patient with us non french speakers.

Smallish seaside town with good French character.
Smallish seaside town with good French character. Good choice of restaurants and a variety of shops. Easy to walk round. Good tourist information centre. Parking good and free at station. Rail links to Nantes.
The apartment was large and very tastefully decorated. We only stayed there for 4 nights but it would be easy to spend two weeks there as Pornic is a very pretty place and the apartment is in a quiet location but close to the shops. It had everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable bed.
Booking was easy and staff, (particularly Benjamin) were very helpful. They confirmed Gluten free breakfast options, accommodated rooms close to each other and leant us a plug adapter.
The hotel was close to the station and town. Rooms are clean and well appointed.
prefect location with an amazing vibe
this places offers every thing you expect when you are traveling to a beautiful port city of Pornic with a group of 9
loved our stay.
the host is very responsive and helpful too
would definitely like to visit again
Everything to like about this hotel! Only one slight downside, it's a bit of a trek to the town centre. However, that is probably a good thing. It means a 20 minute walk in the evening!!
It is important to let your guests know that taxi transportation needs to be booked in advanced to get from the train station to the hotel, and to do any activities away from the hotel
Hotel’s personnel are smiling, welcoming, to the point.
Service is excellent (and nearly unmatched in France).
Rooms are cleaned thoroughly.
Room decor is quite aesthetic.
The location was great, plenty of nice places to visit. Pornic is a lovely place, would revisit again!
The pool especially was a winner for the children!
