Loved the cozy atmosphere and the decor. Could see the squirrels from our windows running through the tree and little birds singing to wake us up. Really beautiful place. Kids really appreciated the garden, there is a trampoline and a tennis court.

Owner and staff of high quality. Food excellent. Beautiful peaceful location especially after being in Lindon 5 days. Great place to get away for 2-3 days.

We loved the country location with fields of wild flowers and the modern barn
with all the home comforts. We loved the breakfast too, with fresh berries, yoghurt & granola and freshly cooked eggs & bacon. We loved meeting the Golden Retrievers and wandering outside, discovering the names of the flowers and enjoying the serenity underneath the trees.

Andover has pubs and bars, supermarkets and plenty of places to eat. There are enjoyable walks up to the Ladies Walk where you can see across the town and also to Charlton Lakes where there is a play area for kids.
Andover is also close to Basingstoke, Salisbury and Winchester.

It is a quiet town very convenient for visiting Winchester, Salisbury, the New Forest, Newbury, Whitchurch and Southampton. Anton Lakes local Natural Reserve gives a good opportunity to relax sitting on a bench and watching wildlife birds. Don't forget to visit the local Iron Age history museum and beautiful St.Mary's church.

A quiet town, without much to see. The Anton River canal near the old mill and the Anton lakes are the only places worth visiting, the river has ducks and swans as well. The town has supermarkets, and a train station and the distances are relatively easy to walk, even with luggage.

We visited Andover as were were going to the BSB round at Thruxton. There are lots of place to eat in Andover we opted for an Indian called Chilies, it was empty so were a bit worried but it is one of the best curries we have had in a while. Staff very polite and attentive. Can thoroughly recommend it.
The hotel, Jack Russell Fox, which is a Wetherspoons pub chain was excellent. Staff and food were what you would expect. The rooms were clean and perfectly adequate.
Amazing stay, lovely hotel, all done with great care and attention to detail, nice walks around, after dinner you can take a drink to their fireplace and cuddle up with some blankets, very comfy bed, good food, lovely quiet place overall, Greta facilities in the room (coffee machine, fresh milk, tray with some drinks and goodies (charged), lovely shower gel/shampoo/conditioner, bath robes, great shower !! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Location was great,we had spent day at Thruxton circuit.
Ref breakfast this was not provided and although I don't recall what was shown on booking we were expecting breakfast so this was disappointing. The recommended place they told us about at the local garden centre did not unfortunately open until 10 am Sunday morning so we had to find breakfast in Andover.
During a busy weekend it was a quiet evening in a tranquil location. Very picturesque village with quiet life floating along. Beautiful river flowing in front of the hotel was perfect backdrop for a quiet drink. Country lanes with thatch cottage / houses was perfect for an evening stroll after very nice food. Breakfast was substantial and well presented
The room was so much nicer then expected. Absolutely immaculate with a great shower. The bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities that was replenished each day. The staff at reception and at the bar where very friendly and professional. For the price I couldn't really fault it and I will be returning next time I'm in Andover.
The staff are the best thing about this pub-hotel: very welcoming, very helpful throughout my stay. I was able to take my bike up to my room, which I really appreciated, and I was almost late for breakfast but they were happy to serve me all the same. Decent beer and good food available in the evening. Nice pub in a good location.
Great hotel in every way. Spotlessly clean, private car park. All staff extremely friendly. Very comfortable room with all amenities. Really good breakfast, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, pastries plus hot food, really excellent. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Great value.
The staff were very friendly and had great breakfast in the morning. It's right in the town centre not far from the bus station where you can get anywhere. would recommend this hotel if you eat in Pizza Express, you get 20% off your bill when you show your key card.
I've stayed at the Hawk inn each Monday for the past 3 weeks and I intend to keep booking as I believe I have found a little gem. Stephan and staff are great and are always happy, I can not recommend this hotel enough.
Great location, really comfortable bed, lots of space, and the room was clean and airy with lots of character... so much nicer than staying in a hotel! A tasty breakfast with locally sourced products.
The breakfast was very good and of the same standard that is found in most hotels. The room was of adequate size and the bed was comfortable. the hotel was nicely located in the centre of Andover.
A nice hotel in pleasant quiet location, but handy for getting in to the town centre.
Room was nice, clean and comfortable.
If visiting Andover I would definitely stay there again.
Easy parking. Pleasant and quiet surrounding, but right near to Andover center. Easy access and local amenities nearby (Petrol / Newsagents / Eating). Hostess was welcoming and kind.
Great value room in the heart of Andover town and perfect for our meet up with family. Clean, and everything you would expect from a quality hotel, would definitely use again.
Hotel was perfect location and very clean rooms ideal size and again very clean staff very friendly and helpful and facilities excellent and value for money
I stay here a fair bit this was first time in one of the outside rooms, lovely big room with old wooden beams, great little hotel bang in middle of town.
