Ipswich is a lovely place. We visited friends for a couple of days.
We went Inflata nation jump park in cardinal park. This was really good fun but expensive. The Cardinal park has many eating places and a huge cinema.

I was shocked how run down the town centre has become since my last visit quite some time ago. Internet shopping and large shopping malls on the outskirts probably contribute to the decline of town centers.

We were in Ipswich to watch the last championship match of the season at Portman Road.
We arrived on the Friday night and shared an amazing tomahawk steak at "The Grill At Twenty5" which had a lovely atmosphere and wonderful staff.
We watched the match on Saturday and spent the rest of the day soaking up the atmosphere with the wonderful Ipswich fans.
After sobering up and taking a break from the wonderful sun shine, we had our evening meal at Mariners in the marina which hosts a French restaurant on a restored 19th century boat with heaps of history and character.
We had to leave early on Sunday but would have loved to explorer further afield.
Will be back next season to see a premiership game (ticket permitting).

i liked Ipswich ,the town is small but with very nice old architecture from Tudor era, mix with Victorian style of course the moderns one are present there too. The coffee shop are the best you will remember Ipswich for this for a very long time. There is a park to visit which is very close to the centre. Suggestion: walk in the park visit the Christchurch Mansion Museum for free go to the top but when you come back take the streets along the park you will meet with beautiful, beautiful houses. In Ipswich you don't get lonely the people are very nice there , they are quick to know you and have a chat. Then there is Marina....a good place for a restaurant where you find different dishes from different countries. Then there is a football stadium too. There is lots to see around Ipswich. There are two important markets with bus station so from Cat Market I travel by bus to WoodBridge, Kersey and Felixstowe with best fish and chips etc the villages are one more appealing then other that I recommend you to visit.

Maybe we are not looking in the right places but our view of Ipswich is that of a run-down, sad town. Even the waterfront seems an unhappy place.
The nicest hotel-run restaurant we could find for breakfast by the waterfront was probably a lovely place at some point but was worn out and in desperate need of redecoration. We run away from Ipswich for the third time, to decompress in beautiful Suffolk countryside where there are dozens of nice, well looked after towns
I've stayed here multiple times now and the experience has been faultless every time. I've pretty much stopped using hotels in Ipswich when I need to stay as this is a much nicer experience. The owner is really friendly and accommodating, the place is spotlessly clean, the facilities are everything I'd need an d more. So much nicer to have more space than just being confined to a hotel room and the little extras such as a pint of milk and a loaf of bread are fantastic. I've recommended this place to everyone I know.
I stayed a week in order to attend an event at nearby Trinity Park with my dog. I had an excellent stay - the staff, without exception, were the friendliest of any hotel I have ever stayed in - nothing was too much trouble. The room was a decent size and recently decorated and the bathroom appears new. Dogs are welcome in the bar area (where you can also choose to eat) and the breakfasts are fantastic. All in all, my dog and I were made to feel very welcome (and a special thank you to Maisie for the dog treats!)
Service was excellent and polite. Bedroom was large, clean and spotless. Bed was very comfortable (medium softness bed). Shower and WC facilities good. The only negative was no handrails in the bath which, when taking shower, I feel is really important. Breakfast was fabulous and again the team were wonderful so overall for a 3 star this is a great hotel. Location wise it serves a purpose of being fairly close to Ipswich and the new industrial site being built and halfway ish between Norwich and London
Everything the hotel, staff, food everyone from the cleaners who make the hotel spotless, the reception staff always go out their way to welcome you, the chefs create the most amazing food, the serving staff cannot do enough. The amazing cocktails are a must. Our favourite place Barr going into London. The hidden gem of Suffolk.
Its a great location for all my needs for work in Ipswich, Its a lovely old building with character, plenty of free parking, nice reception and always very polite and professional staff. Rooms are nice and large, beds were comfortable for my needs and contains all you would expect from a budget type hotel.
The hotel itself is in a fabulous spot with beautiful views of marina from lovely room with small terrace.parking available either in secure yard or overflow nearby at no extra charge. Thank you to the extremely helpful gentleman in charge of luggage and parking. This is a great place to stay
very modern and well euipped kitchen. comfortable lounge and dining area.two good shower bathrooms but one shower out of action.excellent location opposite park and essential car parking next to property. very useful having a well stocked shop next door
The hotel went above my expectations, and the staff was courteous, the room was clean, and the environment was calm.
It's a place for solo travelers, couples, or family. A must-visit in Ipswich, also Sainsbury is close to the property.
The hotel had run out of bottled water, fans and parking. The airflow/aircon didn’t work in rooms. £31 for steak and chips with no salt, pepper or mustard. Everything felt like an effort.
Enjoyed my stay here, was very quiet, bed comfortable and very clean so it ticked all the boxes for me.After staying in some very noisy hotels thhis was a pleasant change.
Very clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast. Good central location - not far from the lovely dock / quay area and all the shops. Our first stay at a Novotel hotel.
