Less touristy than Chania. Located between Chania and Heraklion, makes it ideal for visiting both as well as archaeological sites etc.

Rethymno has the right mix of old town charm, modern hotels, a beach and a nice promenade. Plenty of places that serve authentic Greek food at very affordable prices, nice shopping opportunities, a pretty good beach - overall, I think Rethymno is better than Heraklion or Chania for a vacation stay.

The suite is located in a central area on the beach in the Old Town. There is a plethora of entertainment choices literally under your feet and despite their proximity from the suite, the property is rather quite, having no trouble sleeping. The host has been super friendly and always available to satisfy our needs. The BEST part though is the private jacuzzi on the top floor!!!! We are definitely coming back again!!!ΜΜΑΡΙΑΝΘΗGreece

I was unfortunately struck down with a Cardiac arrest on the first night there and taken into hospital. All of the staff looked after Mary, my wife and supported her whilst I was away from her. The property is wonderfully situated. It is across a road from one of best beaches in Crete and within a 20 min walk to the old town.
