Great place if you like to get out and enjoy. We had our bikes and were able to take advantage of great bike paths. So many others out running, walking dogs, river surfing, floating the river. Can’t wait to go back.

Bend has way too many people which leads to overcrowded roads, wait time for prettymuch everything, and if you want to just get away from people good luck. For some reason everyone wants to be here. Everything is high priced so remember if you don't have alot of money it's going to cost you enjoying anything here. Is it pretty? Yes, but way overcrowded. Great town, very active, it would be really nice to paddle board there, go hiking and I went to the best fly fishing shop I've ever seen at Old Mill (https://www.oldmilldistrict.com/shops/confluence-fly-shop/). The whole city was clean and organised. Very few old vacant plots throughout making it a city of quality. The "old town' with its shops and good quality food outlets, history information , river frontage and walks were an unexpected series of highlights for our restful day.

I stayed in the "River me Timbers" condo and was surprised how spacious and well furnished the place was. The view of the Deschutes River was picture perfect and topped the whole PNW experience. Quality was great considering how expensive other accommodation is in Bend. Don't let the exterior of the property fool you.
