The apartment was nasty! Especially the bathrooms!!!!!
The apartment was nasty! Especially the bathrooms!!!!! They were way small, small sinks barely a mirror, the molding around the toilets were coming off, they were old and out dated!!! The bathroom was the most nastiest thing there! The kitchen looked new and upgraded, the bedroom had no were to put your close, both bedrooms had no lighting just a dimmed lamp probaby 10 watts! That was the only lighting!!! No mirrors except one cheap one that was hanging over the door! Again let me say NO LIGHTS in the bedrooms, and no where to put your clothes!! Please up grade and expand those nasty bathrooms at unit G-21. For 1,000 dollars we got ripped off! And fix those bedrooms up better!

Overall the room was good.
Overall the room was good. The Customer Service could have been better. They weren’t that friendly. The bed’s were squeaky, but tolerable. The balcony could be bigger. You can only sit one way comfortably. I didn’t like the fact that as soon as I walk in someone approaches me about going to a meeting about signing up for a club after traveling. I didn’t like how the door’s slammed and powered loud in the hallway. Hopefully, if I have to use them again some of these can be resolved.

Lots to do around Hilton Head.
Lots to do around Hilton Head. Visiting on vacation while waiting for my son to graduate from MCRD Parris Island.. Within decent distance from Parris Island. Not too far to drive early AM for the things you need to be present for if you're a parent. Tanger Outlet 1 & 2 are close-by... plenty of shopping and stores.
The beach is not as great as others. Tar balls were everywhere, along with PLENTY of jellyfish.. and I didn't see any in the water.. They were dotted along the beach, every few feet.

Hotel rates in late March were high.
Hotel rates in late March were high. Can't drive to the south tip of the island without a pass, don't let this catch you off-guard when you're planning your itinerary. The island has lots of mixed-use trails, ideal for bicycling. Booked a short kayaking tour of the inlet, saw a great sunset, enjoyed walking the grounds of the coastal discovery museum. The island's covenants with regards to maintaining native trees and reducing signage can be a blessing and a curse, especially when you're trying to spot your destination from the road. Beach was underwhelming, beached jellyfish were everywhere that time of year. Close proximity to Savannah, Georgia, but heavy traffic can stretch the 45 minute travel estimate to an hour and a half.

First time at Hilton Head, the folks were friendly and the hotel location was in good location, short walk to beach and dining.

I know it's a golfing and tennis destination but there was pretty much NOTHING else to do. The beach was not inviting with hard packed cold sand and bicyclists driving all over. There is no "main street" just lots of shopping "crescents" that looked all alike and everything was ridiculously overpriced. The scenery wasn't terribly interesting, unfortunately. There were several hard pitches to sit for time share presentations. We were certainly not interested as Hilton Head is not my thing at all. To add to our displeasure we booked a dolphin cruise and saw ONE dolphin.

The room was clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel had a pool area and decent continental breakfast options. The hotel was modern, clean, comfortable and in good repair. The price charged was very reasonable for the quality of the accommodations. My room was spacious and the kitchenette is a very practical feature. Key features for me in any hotel room are the comfort of the bed and the cleanliness and functionality of the bathroom. Home2 Suites in Hilton Head scored very well on both counts.
This hotel isn't fancy looking by any means, but the staff was great, the room was SUPER clean, and the beds and pillows were ultra-comfy. Our room had two queen beds, a large trash can (I loved this because most hotels have tiny ones), a dehumidifier (crucial for humid Hilton Head Island), and a refrigerator that was bigger than a mini but not full size.
Excellent location. Right on the beach. Big pool. Walking distance to Coligny Plaza with lots of restaurants and shops. Well maintained beautiful landscaping. Good value for a 2 bedroom/2 bath property.
Very well located, close to Coligny but at the same time very isolated and peaceful. One of the best breakfasts I had in any US hotel. Besides the issue with transportation, the staff was A+
The staff are so kind and friendly and the location can’t be beat. Walkable and right on the beach with easy access and lounge chairs to use. The beds were clean and comfortable
Absolutely the best view in Hilton Head Island. Wonderful accommodations. Host was very responsive and helpful. First time renting someone's home (we usually stay in hotels).
The location was not on the beach but an okay drive. The suite was clean and we could have stayed an extra few days comfortably with the kitchenette and fridge.
Always like the Marriott. I come here every October. The room is always spacious and clean. Great view. Right on the beach. Close to everything. Great staff.
There is apparently a scent that is unique to Courtyard (each Marriott hotel level is different) and every time I entered the main lobby, it smelled amazing!
