Small and cute hotel with around 10 suites. View of the lake was amazing, and room stayed cool even in the heat of June. Very quiet. We definitely took advantage of the hot tub to relax the legs.

We arrived but received a wrong room number so that the door would not open. Room was already occupied. We called the manager and got a new room. Room was clean and bed was comfy. It was a bit cold that night and the heater always turned off itself after 20 minutes. The pipe in the bathroom sink was clogged so the water stayed in there. Coffeemashine in the room.

Location was fantastic was 5 mins from town and a nice quiet private location, the kitchen and bathroom were modern. It has a fantastic little yard for a dog that's completely fenced in. There were a lot of games and also included kids toys which was great to take a child. The host seemed lovely though and has made an effort to make the place homely. The kitchen was fully equipped and had everything you could ask for, even a kettle! This means a lot as I drink tea and it's hard to find a place with a kettle. The loft was great and also had an office which was a bonus. There were extra space heaters available.
Nestled in the San Vicente Valley, Riviera Oaks Resort and Racquet Club features 16 tennis courts and a spa. Their spacious villas offer fully equipped kitchens and fireplaces.

A gem of a place, only stayed one night passing through the area but wish we had booked a few nights and took in local wineries and walks. Plenty to do, amazing countryside. The hotel also had lots of games available, the pool and hot tub were very clean and pleasant. BBQs located for free use too. Fabulous place.

We stay in Julian twice per year..once for my wife's birthday and the other for our anniversary. It's our favorite destination when we need to get away from home for a few days. Wonderful town to visit with lots of friendly people.

Julian is a easy drive from San Diego.
Julian is a easy drive from San Diego. It is a nice, clean little mountain town. It has many shops with unique goods that you don't see many places. The one serious drawback is that there is only one go to sit-down restaurant. It is Italian. One major drawback is they do not accept reservations. However they do have a system using a Qcode in which you can be notified when your table will be ready in a specified time frame. Our wait was only about 1/2 hr notice of when our table for 6 was ready. Just don't sit by the front door. The cold wind is not pleasant each time the door opened. The door does not close by itself and most people didn't close it after entering.

Julian is a super cute town.
Julian is a super cute town. There's a lot to do there in town. There are some great options that are no more than 3 miles away from the actual town of Julian and these establishments have co-opted the Julian town name for their locations. In the fall (September) they have an Apple Days Festival which is probably the highlight for the town. It's very crowded and lots of family friendly activities going on. The apple pie is amazing.

Julian is a sweet little town packed with history.
Julian is a sweet little town packed with history. We had spent the day in Borego Springs looking at the desert sculptures (worth the trip) and enjoyed the mountain pass drive into Julian. Do the mine tour--the guide was wonderful and the tour interesting. Wonderful dining, especially the Italian place near the Robinson Hotel--another good find.

I love my yearly trip to Julian!
I love my yearly trip to Julian! It’s a wonderful place with small town vibes. It’s adorably quaint and the people are always friendly. The food is great and the apples and pies are definitely the star of the show. The scenic drive is great and there are plenty of cute places to stop off and enjoy. My favorite store to pick up great gifts is The Warm hearth, followed by a nice lunch at Julian cafe. I always end my trip with a nice slice of pie at either Moms pie shop or Julian apple pie company. I always look forward to my trip to Julian and can’t wait to return.
We have been faithful customers of Booking.com, for many years. This year we had at least 10 reservations with them in november for our yearly californian thanksgiving trip. Unfortunately we were bounced off for one reservation by the hotel, in Yucca Valley, without legitimate reason, and left one night out in the cold.
Booking.com has totally disregarded our complaint and proclaimed their irresponsibility. Consequently we shall no longer share our experiences at other facilities, as we gladly did in the past.
This Lodge is Julian’s “biggest” little town hotel but the warmth and comfort of almost a BnB. Lobby staff are the friendliest, most welcoming people you’ll ever meet and offer assistance beyond a normal front office expectations.
The Lodge is in a perfect location…in town but off the Main Street, which can be quite busy during popular seasons. Rooms are comfortable and extremely clean. and on site parking is a plus!
can’t go wrong on this quaint country charmer!
I saw this hotel passing by Cuyamaca Lake often and typically I would stay in Julian. Exteriorly, the building looks somewhat worn, red rustic. Interiorly it is very clean and decorated as if you are in a Tibetan monastery. The meditation room reminds me of going into a Buddhist temple with many statues of Buddha. No incense. It is a multi-purpose room, for meditation, and slow/quiet work out. Or even prayer. I practiced Tai Chi there with plenty of space to move.
My family traveled to Tucker Peak Lodge for a weekend getaway to Julian. We absolutely loved the property. We stayed in the family suite: Mountain View, and it was perfect. The beautiful kitchen, stocked and ready for us to make breakfast, was absolutely wonderful. We definitely wished we were staying longer and will absolutely return.
Nice remodeled room and we like parking our car close to our room. Very clean and comfortable. The a/c unit wasn’t turned on when we got there, but once it was on, cooled the room off quickly. We will most definitely come back to this hotel again! Loved that restaurants are right next door as well as a bakery across the street!
Quaint, historic feel with lots of decorations, paintings etc that gave a gold rush vibe. It felt like the right place to be in Julian. Staff all very nice and helpful, good breakfast. Only stayed one night as part of a road trip - and it was a good choice for that. Not sure I’d have wanted to stay much longer.
We loved the quaintness of the hotel e.a. the old door locks, (no magnetic key card!) light fixtures and doilies underneath the plate glass on the tables. The soft background music of a time long past sets the background for conversations with other hotel guest.
Wonderful breakfasts! Wonderful rest.
So quiet! No one bothered us and we heard not a peep all night. Beautiful views, comfy beds, clean. Nice employees. Nice kitchen with staples in the fridge, coffee stations, a common room with games. Cozy vibes. It was our third hotel stay in Julian and definitely most superior! Best time.
Our recent stay in Julian was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and breathtaking views of the serene lake. The room with its lake view was simply spectacular, offering us the perfect backdrop for a tranquil retreat.
Loved everything. Access to so many different places- Julian, Borrego, Ocotillo. Reni is attentive and helpful and she thinks of everything. We felt at home. Reni is so kind and wonderful to talk with.
it was more pleasant than I expected, staff is amazingly; friendly, helpful and relaxed, hotel and nature views are breathtaking,, saw many birds; ducks, herons, hummingbirds, deer, turkeys a real treat;)
Small and cute hotel with around 10 suites. View of the lake was amazing, and room stayed cool even in the heat of June. Very quiet. We definitely took advantage of the hot tub to relax the legs.
Clean, quiet and a few miles outside of Julian. I like the feel of rustic Inn accommodations, rather than a hotel/motel room.
Bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful and nice.
The hotel is perfectly located as once you have parked you can walk everywhere. The bedroom and bathroom were quite dated but somehow in keeping with Julian itself.
Breakfast was lovely, Room was very small, It is a very old hotel so that was expected. Bed was comfy. We enjoyed sitting in the garden having a glass of wine.
