I've reviewed this property several times now, but let me add a few more thoughts. In terms of value, one would be hard pressed to find a better property in south Mumbai. The staff are excellent, and the manager runs the property with the client top of mind. I've stayed there twice and if/when I return to Mumbai, I will stay there again. In my opinion, it's worth the extra money to arrange a deluxe room as they are much larger and also have windows. Also, do not be afraid to get out and walk the area. Cabs are really not necessary. The Crawford market, the Gateway to India, the Train station and all of the important buildings are within walking distance of the Elphinstone.
