Set 200 metres from Candolim Beach, Altrude By The Sea offers 4-star accommodation in Candolim and features a garden, a terrace and a bar. My wife and I stayed at Altrude By The Sea (ATBTS) for 4 nights in July. We arrived on the early morning flight and were at the resort by 0730hrs. We were expecting to get the room not earlier than 1000-1100 hrs (based on our worldwide experience, seldom will hotels accommodate you before that even if there is capacity). However, this was not the case at ATBTS. Praveen, who was at the front desk was very accommodating and immediately allocated the room to us and was very hospitable. The staff at the La Ceres Caffé were fabulous and always ready ti serve you. The room was brilliant size, tastefully done with a Portuguese touch. The bathroom was good size and accommodated a tub and shower cubicle. Eldrin and Nehal are a fabulous host. They are very involved with their guest and their hospitality is second to none. It shows throughout the resort and amongst their staff too. We were lucky to have checked in on a Thursday, so we got to hear some great duo’s as well as the jazz band. The caffé lights up in the evening after 7pm and we enjoyed some good urrak and goan food, in addition to the foot-stomping music. I would definitely return and stay at this property, as well as recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Candolim. The Goan culture is so alive here and you can feel it right from the time you step foot on the property.

Located in Candolim, The Sovereign Villa offers a garden. Each room is fitted with a balcony with a garden view. Property is very clean and hygienic. Walkable to the beach. The property owner Mr. Glen is very helpful and genuinely guides you with everything you need in Goa. Mainly I had the room from 16-18 but due to my kids school I had to change the dates 2days ahead and I was worried about last minute changes that if I could get the property to stay. Booking.com it said sold out but later I called the owner Mr Glen and told the issue and he was so kind to understand the issue and help me move my dates without any extra charges and this is only with him I think. Usually as we check in to any hotel they ask for the payment first but here till I myself opened up and asked he didn’t even ask for payment. This is very very rare.
