We loved the very comfortable and homey accommodation, as well as their thoughtful selection of teas and snacks available all day. Speaking of delectables, we enjoyed the wonderful view from the terrasse where we had breakfast every morning. On offer was a great selection of pastries from a local bakery, the option to have eggs and bacon, a selection of cold cuts (as well as fruit salad, cereals and yoghurts for the more healthy food inclined) and a savoury offering that changed every day, as did Stefania's cakes - her biscotti justified the trip alone! We regret not having allowed some the time to attend a proper wine tasting session, but the wines we sampled from their own vineyards were delightful, especially the Chianti riserva. We had the good fortune of test driving their newly acquired ebikes, which enabled us to take in the gorgeous surroundings at a more leisurely pace. We particularly appreciated the very personal service from Fausto, as well as the handy map and restaurant recommendations from Claudia. The tenuta is fantasticly located: we walked to SG every evening for dinner, about 15 mins via a quiet and scenic back road, which meant we were both able to enjoy the fantastic local wines! In short: we can't recommend this place enough!

This lovely hotel was a highlight of our 14 days in Italy. It and the grounds were gorgeous. The staff were helpful. The breakfast was plentiful. The shower and bathroom were huge. We loved walking in the vineyard. We didn't use the two pools but they were so pretty, as was the landscaping, View was spectacular. Such a gem. I had no idea when I booked how special this pace would be. There's a great private patio and even a chapel.

Monica and Georgio were lovely friendly hosts. Breakfast was fabulous with a variety of salume, cheese, homemade cakes, fresh fruit, hand squeezed fresh orange juice and more. Our room was spacious with a beautiful view. Georgio even fixed us a perfect lunch after we arrived mid afternoon. Directions and suggestions of places to drive in Tuscany were even provided as well as restaurant suggestions. Although they were busy with picking grapes and making wine they still made time to tell us about the grape varieties and the wine processing. Altogether a lovely stay.

It was a beautiful location with spacious, comfortable and spotless rooms. Our host, Antonella, was absolutely delightful and so welcoming and helpful. The wine tour and tasting with Lenora was extra special. And the breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. We stayed 3 nights at Capanna 1826 and we wish we had stayed longer!
