Located at the Hippo Camp, this tent comes with sewn-in mosquito net, a bed with cotton sheet and duvet, bedside tables, solar powered lighting and private en-suite bathroom with hot running water 24hrs a day and flushing toilet.

Julia's River Camp offers accommodation in the heart of the Masai Mara Nature Reserve. Each tent looks onto the Talek River and has its own private verandah to enjoy the scenery.

Spent 9 nights here. The location is great as you're sleeping in the park. Obadiah, the manager, was great. He helped me with everything from game drives to getting a covid test needed to depart. Dennis, my driver/guide, works for Julia's and was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable & kept in contact with the other guides so we didn't miss a river crossing (or anything else). We saw leopard, plenty of lion, cheetah, hyena, elephants, two river crossings (5000 animals each crossing), cheetah kill, hippos, buffalo, wild dogs, crocs, etc. Truly exceptional and once in a lifetime experience. The meals were great. I had pancakes, fresh fruit, & whip cream for breakfast. Eggs, etc are available. Value for money 10/10.

The Fig Tree Camp – Maasai Mara is located amidst the Maasai Mara National Park, on the banks of the Talek River. It features accommodation with private bathrooms, a swimming pool, and a restaurant.

Jambo, Hands down the trip of a life time! At the heart of the trip is the amazing Fig Tree Camp. The camp is surrounded by wildlife. Hippos and baboons can be seen from the safety of your riverside tent. Make sure to bring a set of ear plugs as the hippos are extremely loud during twilight hours. Hyena can also be heard at night time with their signature ‘whoo up’ sounds. The camp is situated on the Talek River which makes it situated in the heart of the habitat of local wildlife. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, food is amazing and the pool is handy in between game drives. The bar area is a fantastic place to talk to other visitors about your experiences while enjoying coffee or a bottle of Tusker or Two, be sure to try a cocktail made by the Maasai Maras number one mixologist Gideon and his assistants. Where to start with the game drives. This has to be hands down the most enjoyable experience I have ever had. A four day game drive gave me the opportunity to see the ‘Big Five’ and everything else the Maasai Mara had to offer. The highlight of the trip has to be watching a large male Lion steal a kill from a clan of Hyena at sunrise. I was also fortunate enough to see three week old Lion cubs and four separate Leopards. A lioness was also chased into the bush by a herd of elephants and unbeknown, a Black Rhino came hurtling out of the bush. My guide and guardian Johnathan was on point everyday and knew where to find the local wildlife. I also had the opportunity to visit a Maasai Village and experience the culture of the legendary Maasai Warriors. Do not hesitate to book your visit to the Maasai Mara and the Fig Tree Camp Asante❤️ Jay

Located in Talek in the Narok region, Talek Bush Camp, Masai Mara features a balcony. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.

Everything was perfect. The staff is really friendly, polite and caring for the guests. All staff, Simon, Willie, the chefs, Abdul and Mostafa. The location is the best you can get, the animals come to the river everyday: elephants, giraffes, warthogs, leopards, crocodiles and hyppos. You can even just rest at the hotel and see them all. They provide meals three times a day, with vegetarian options as well. They also pack the meals if you go for safari drives all day. They have fast WiFi in the common areas, which is very handy. People can also take videocalls there. The room was large, comfortable and very clean. The water is very hot in the shower. We will miss this place very much. Thank you Abdul & Mostafa for making us feel at home in every possible way.

With garden views, Greenwood safari camp is set in Talek and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden, sun terrace and outdoor fireplace. This campground offers free private parking, full-day security and free WiFi. The accommodation features a shuttle service, while a car rental service is also available.

Great camp and facilities! You can watch hippos, baboons and crocodiles in the river just a few steps from the camp. Magdy and his staff are very attentive and kind. We also booked a game drive and we were very happy with our guide! Would definitely stay there again! Note if you arrive from Nairobi by rental car: -make sure you rent a 4WD -the fastest road to the camp is through the park on the C12 - entering at Sekenani Gate. However, the guards there didn't let us pass. They wanted us to pay the entrance fee and said that we weren't allowed to pass for free (as we read in other reviews before). So we ended up taking "Simba Road" which was recommended by the locals in the village before the gate. Be aware that this road is very bumpy and ask for directions towards Talek. It goes around the park to Talek. -do not take the C13/C14 from Narok!! -when we left we were allowed to go through the park from Talek Gate. They gave us a ticket which is called "Transfer ticket" which is valid for two hours and is for free. So a ticket like this still exists, apparently it depends on the guard if they will give it to you or not!

Bordering the Masai Mara National Reserve, Basecamp Masai Mara offers eco-friendly, luxury camping in the heart of the savannah. The basecamp features panoramic views of the surroundings and local wildlife.

It was our second visit to Mara NP, but our first time sleeping within these grounds. Waking up with a river view and having zebras or hyenas or giraffes looking right across is mesmerising. The tent was clean, comfortable and spacious enough for three persons. Esmo was assigned to take care of us at meal times and he did a wonderful job. The meals were freshly prepared and very good. It was like a set menu and there was always a vegeterian option. The Masai also made us feel safe in the evening while escorting us.

Sitting on a shady raised platform facing the Talek river, each luxury tent covers approximately 26sqm and is fitted with a queen size bed or 2 twin beds. It is furnished in the classic style of the grand African safaris; with large four poster beds and reproduction furniture, offset by modern en-suite bathroom with a hot shower; flush toilets and all the necessary amenities.

Finding the right accommodation in Masai Mara was a challenge, but after a thorough comparison of game drives, amenities, and services, Max Mara emerged as the best choice in terms of quality and price. I have never regretted opting for this hotel. Every member of the team, like Duncan, provided exceptional service, although I regret not remembering all their names. Situated just three minutes from Ol Kiombo airstrip, the hotel ensured seamless transportation, with our driver Samson attending to us from arrival to departure—an invaluable consistency throughout our stay. The culinary experience was outstanding, offering a diverse array of delicious meals. The tents were immaculate, complete with amenities and a constant water supply. Additionally, the morning gesture of serving tea, coffee, and biscuits on the terrace before breakfast was a delightful touch. The expansive resort boasts well-maintained gardens, often visited by friendly monkeys. However, what truly stood out were the exhilarating game drives. With Samson, an experienced driver of 18 years, at the helm, the journey was not only safe but also educational and enjoyable. His extensive knowledge of wildlife surpassed that of any textbook, and his ability to spot animals was uncanny. Despite my initial apprehension, Samson made me feel secure in his jeep, imparting valuable lessons about nature along the way. I am immensely grateful for this incredible adventure and for Samson's guidance throughout. Thank you for an unforgettable experience and to feel safe in your resort.

Beautiful camp. Location is perfect, it takes only 10-20 minutes to reach Masai Mara Park. We got a tent with an amazing view! It was breathtaking. The bed was comfy with extra mosquito net. We also had a bathroom in the tent. The food was freshly made, mainly local dishes. They also can pack it with you if you want to go for a whole day safari.

Beautiful property right on the Mara River. The luxury tent is very well appointed (the shower looking out on the river is a very nice touch). The food was consistently exceptional. Some of the best hotel food I've enjoyed in my several trips to the Mara. The boxed lunches are especially well done - without question the best box lunches I've had from any hotel/camp in the Mara. The staff are delightful, and were willing to accommodate our every need. It was a wonderful getaway and a perfect place to recharge.
