Ein toller Ort zum entspannen! Wir haben unsere Zeit in Kamaku wirklich sehr genossen. Das „Dorm“ ist auch ein tolles Erlebnis denn so nah an Natur und Meer gibt es selten etwas. Zum einschlafen hörte man die Wellen rauschen und durch das offene Design fühlte man sich wie im Jungle aber trotzdem gut geschützt und geborgen. Hier würden wir sofort wieder übernachten!

Traumhafter Strand, super nettes Personal und leckeres Essen (vor allem das selbstgemachte Schokolade Eis!). Wegen der Regenzeit war ich teilweise der einzige Gast und hatte deswegen das Dorm für mich und sogar eine private (sehr tolle) Yoga Stunde. Werde es definitiv jedem weiterempfehlen!

The accommodation blends into the beautiful natural jungle and beach landscape and feels perfect for the setting. Be advised that it is a bit rustic but there's a shower and a flushing toilet and our bed was really comfortable. There are no plug points in the room but you can charge your devices in the dining area. A mosquito net is provided which was great as it meant we could leave the windows open for a cooling sea breeze at night. We were a stone's throw from the water but also surrounded by trees, it was magical. The staff were helpful and friendly but unobtrusive. The food is traditional Khmer cuisine and everything we had was delicious and made with a lot of care. There are also a few other resorts in the bay that serve different food styles. Sunset Beach is more remote than some of the other bays on the island and does not have a ferry port or really much other boat traffic making it perfect for swimming, paddling and snorkeling. This does mean that you have to hike in to the accommodation but it's completely manageable, just be sure to pack in a backpack rather than a suitcase or kit bag. All the pertinent information and directions are sent out in an email as soon as you book. This stands out as one of our best beach holidays, highly recommended.
