This tent has a private bathroom, tumble dryer and garden views. The unit has 2 futons. The volunteers- Thais and Clara were so warm, always giving tips of what to do, which beaches to attend etc. And the other guests! They were so warm and in the end the intimacy of the place made it incredible as there are only 2 chalets and the space for camping. The set up is simple but great. The kitchen is open to use, filtered drinking water and then space to watch TV or play games. The location is incredible...you can walk down to the river and waterfall, relax in the hammock and just be away from the city.

Hostel da Vila was an amazing experience! Me and my friend arrived at the hostel and were immediately met by the friendly staff who the showed us around the place. The hostel has everything you can ask for. It has a pool with a slack line across, a huge slide, a skate ramp, a pool table, a tattoo shop, a bar that makes the best food and drinks. I especially recommend the Vila Mule! The location is perfect. It’s a 2 minute walk down to the center where you can easily catch a bus to the rest of the island. At night we would play games and have fun at the hostel with the staff and residents until 11/12 ish where we would all go to the city center and dance samba in the street or listen to forró and mingle with everyone. We are definitely coming back.
