Its safe to say Flameback Eco Lodge made our entire stay at Sri Lanka the most memorable and amazing experience. the room, the whole atmosphere, the food, the staff, you just can’t find any problems at this place. the hotel is located in a spectacular area with a lot of green and a huge lake right beside you. you wake up in the morning to either the monkeys running around or to the beautiful sound of the nature and birds. and at one point during the day, you might encounter of buffaloes casually eating grass next to your room. special thanks to the assistant manager of the hotel (Sampath) who made our stay at the hotel even more amazing. you could literally as the guy about any requests and he’s gonna make sure you get it.

Our drivers were amazingly skilled, yet environmentally friendly. The cooking staff created a memorable 3-course evening dinner by candle light and camp fire. The accommodation and on-tour picknicks were perfect. Our stay at the Yala Wild Hut was amazing! The place was quite easy to find, although it was a few hundred meters off the paved road. Our tent was spacious, comfortable and clean, exactly like it was pictured on Booking.com. The dinner and breakfast were delicious, plus the free coffee/tea was also very nice. We also booked a Yala morning safari through Yala Wild Hut, which we can definitely recommend.

We loved the entire experience of being looked after by the owner Nilantha and Elizabeth and all the staff in such a lovely way but also being in such a simple and authentic environment. The dinner under the stars was standout. The food was great. The great conversations were so wonderful. The whole day safari was something we will always remember. So much care and passion from Nilantha and our driver. We absolutely loved it.

And the highlight of our trip was a breathtaking leopard sighting that left us in awe. The service provided was exceptional, and the staff went out of their way to engage our children. The cozy tented chalet allowed us to connect with nature while enjoying the comforts of a clean and well-maintained accommodation. We recommend Makini for families seeking a remarkable safari adventure with top-notch service and unforgettable wildlife encounters.

Located 15-minute drive away from Yala National Park, Yala Dream Park features a garden and barbecue. Tissa Wewa is 8 km from the property. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. the treehouse and tent are a perfect place to calm down and enjoy nature. the owner was very involved from the moment we booked, making sure we drove the most efficient way and even picked us up when we arrived in a town nearby. they also took us on safari and went above and beyond making sure we saw as much wildlife as possible. also we enjoyed the bbq dinner (prepared by his son) at their place. truly an unforgettable experience which we highly recommend!
