The fireplace is a top feature of this tent. The tent's kitchen, which has a refrigerator and a microwave, is available for cooking and storing food. The tent features air conditioning, a coffee machine and a patio. It is a great place to stay at Kalahari desert on the way to Mata Mata and SA border, with a wonderfull host Peter who wants to share his farm life exerience. The room we booked was very comfortable, spacious, fully equiped and lovely decorated by Hanli. The icing on the cake was meeting a giraffe on our evening walk in the sunset :) Hanli - Thank you for hospitality.

All guest rooms in the hotel are fitted with a kettle. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, and some units at Grunau Country Hotel have a patio. At the accommodation each room is fitted with bed linen and towels. The small, simple room was very clean (and so were the shared toilets/showers). The hotel has made an effort to make the place homey with a bit of decor inside the room and plants/decor throughout the property.. The wind and cold were fierce during our stay, so we were very grateful to have a good heater in our room (and they provide enough blankets). While the WIFI is only available in the reception/bar/restaurant area, it works well. Good to have a reasonably priced restaurant on site, as there are few eating options in Grunau (you can order your meals ahead to be ready at a certain time). We stayed for two nights while visiting Fish River Canyon as it is much more affordable than the places in/nearer the park (unless you are camping).

Located about 5 km from the Mata-Mata border post into Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, Torgos Safari Lodge is situated at the dry Auob River and offers game viewing opportunities.The lodge has an outdoor pool and restaurant. A hidden jewel situated near the border with South Africa and proved to be an oasis for the traveller. A place to be quiet, rest and be pampered by caring and efficient staff. We have and will continue to recommend the Lodge.
