The houses were quiet, cozy and clean. The game drives were spectacular. It felt like everyone from our guide, Prem, to our waitress, Barbra, were going above and beyond with their hospitality. I stayed for 6 nights and every single day was special! I was looking for something small, private and isolated in contrast to the typical "see the big 5 plans" in order to enjoy what the bush has to offer, and my expectations were absolutely exceeded. The staff is simply amazing. Ed and Ivone are amazing hosts! Ed is an amazing guide and apart from knowing everything about the bush, he really knows how to transfer his knowledge to his guests in a very passionate and genuine way. Ivone is very friendly, helpful and she always wanted to make sure that we were having a good time while we were in the camp. Sibu and Eunita were very sweet and they cooked delicious meals for us! Our last game drive was carried out with Tim who was also very knowledgeable and friendly :) The camp is beautiful and the way it is built respect the environment where is located; somehow open and mainly made of wood. During our game drives we were fortunate to see a lot of game and Ed gave us amazing explanations from a wide range of subjects, apart from sharing his personal experience from his time in the bush, which I really appreciated.

We drove for almost 2 hours on gravel to get to the destination, but you know what? It was absolutely worth it. The place is a beautiful scenery with lots of privacy, a beautiful escape, so tranquil and soothing to the soul. Everything is amazing, the tented house is very clean, hygienic, and had all the cutlery and scullery we needed. There was also a first-aid kit, considering that we were deep in the wild, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

However, once there, the drive is worth the effort. Wild open area. Friendly staff. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Room large and charming with comfortable bed.

I took my fiancé (then girlfriend) away for the weekend with the intention of proposing. I got in contact with the reserve and told them about my plans and requested them to assist with the set-up. They took us out on a private game drive whilst the staff was preparing a breakfast spot at the view point. Everyone assisted and overshot expectations. Apart from the lengths they went to to make the moment special, the whole weekend was amazing. The staff is exceptionally friendly and one feels at home. I would definitely recommend Summerplace for a weekend break away.
