We booked a river tent and so glad we did, the view was breathtaking and we were lucky enough to have elephants cross the river and walk right past our little balcony. The bed was v comfy, wifi was spotty but better than we expected considering we were in the bush. Staff were amazing - Hazel was brilliant and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. This is a self catering camp so be sure to stock up before arriving so you don’t need to leave the park (there’s a big shopping mall is Hazeyview which is about an hour from the Kruger gate). Stayed for three nights and loved every minute. Can’t wait to come back!

Before coming to Kruger, we had seen some animals in Chobe and on our first day here, we collected big five, which we were quite satisfied with. But the next morning Safari collected big five at once, and the luckiest thing was to see a group of five lions, who were located on the border of their private territory. Situated in Manyeleti Game Reserve, Buffelshoek Tented Camp offers a garden and barbecue. Sabi Sand Game Reserve is 34 km away. Free private parking is available on site. The property was in Manyaleti and there were no fences. The animals were free to move around. We had hyenas, giraffe, elephants and lots of birds in our camp. Our game driver, Beksom, was unbelievable in the way he was able to find all the animals. We loved the simplicity of the camp. All the meals were excellent.

Very clean, excellent facilities, beautiful location, great staff, great food. Room was cleaned multiple times per day. Rooms were modern and beautiful. All buildings were up to standard to a 5 star safari lodge. Staff was very friendly and especially Sabelo made our stay into a success as a perfect guide. We saw all game from close by and he made sure we did not mis any of the game we wanted to see. Rest of the staff was also very helpful. They even organized to pick up our sunglasses which we had forgotten at the entrance gate. Excellent choice of foods for each course, large portions and multiple options to choose from for each meal.
