Mars and his family were exceptionally warm and hospitable. Mars had deep knowledge of the places around and appropriately guided us. He went out of his way on all occasions to make sure we had a pleasant stay - he ensured there were vegetarian options for breakfast and organised early breakfast on request, arranged local transport, recommended restaurants for local food, helped us buy bus tickets and generally made sure we had a comfortable stay. Mars was always smiling and ever ready to help. We highly recommend his homestay for anyone looking for accommodation in Karakol.

The location is really excellent. The hosts are a lovely couple always smiling and really helpful. Tea is served, food is excellent; cookies and candies are always on the table. Dinners with other guests were really fun and informative. A nice wood stove was keeping all of us warm. Perfect location to start the long hike to Ala-Kul lake (13 km one way). We highly recommended the Ala-Kul guesthouse. Lots of kindness and great hospitality!

One of the best! The host is very thoughtful and hospitable, the breakfast is sumptuous and she even prepared packed food for us since we checked out early. Place is nearby point of interests. It is such a nice place to come home to after a day of excursion for its coziness and in general just a relaxing place to be. Would highly recommend!

This property was well located, with restaurants, cafes and interesting sites all within walking distance. We loved our hosts Sergei, Ljuba and Bella, who made us feel very welcome - and with a bit of Google Translate to help us with our Russian, they made us feel totally at home. Our room with private bathroom was quirky, comfortable and clean, and perfect for our needs while visiting Karakol.

The hosts, Svetlana and Alexander were very welcoming. They have a lovely home, with big rooms and comfy beds. The breakfast was also always great (some bread, eggs, fruit, Yoghurt etc). There is a super market close by and it is also close to Meeting Point, the most popular backpacker hangout

This is among the nicest accommodations we have stayed at in Kyrgyzstan. It's located along the main street, but it's separated from the noise of the street. The staff was incredible, breakfasts generous, and rooms VERY comfortable. The wifi was working great. We would enthusiastically recommend Tagaytay!

This was a great guesthouse only 10 minutes from the center of Karakol. The owners are extremely kind and spent time to get to know us and talk to us. They also helped us arrange transportation to the local ski resort at a much more reasonable price than we could find ourselves. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Perfect small apartment located just outside Karakol city centre. We were very well looked after from the moment we booked and the owners, who live next door, were always quick to answer questions and give reccomendations. The apartment is beautifully presented and was very clean. It had all we needed for 4 days stay, good WiFi, and a big bathroom. Hopefully I will be back!
