I don't think I ever took so many pictures of the interiour as I did at Château de Clemency. Friendly and helpful owners, nice hidden quiet places to have a rest (indoors and outdoors), a very clean and very bright room. When we arrived after a full day on our motorcycle we had a rest in the garden and in the morning we had breakfast on the terrace in the sun. Just perfect to charge up our battery again for another day on the road.

We really enjoyed the love and creativity that went into the concept of the different rooms, as we did the welcoming hospitality of our host Mayke. Overall the hotel features a very unusual concept which resembles more a personal visit to a private house as opposed to a classic hotel concept. From the moment we pulled up Maykes smiley welcoming, we knew we had found a gem of a place. The rooms are all fantastically decorated and complete homage to Pascals unique eye for making a space look special and his pure passion for the Chateau and his vision. We loved the Chateau and the it’s hosts so much we stayed an extra night (and could have quite happily stayed for much longer). Lots of wonderful details and unusual features. Great.variety to the rooms. We stayed in the Tribute room on the way down and in the Sherlock room on the way back, having enjoyed our stay so much the first time. Both were great.
