It was spacious and clean. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Also a wonderful laundry room. The bedroom’s were very large and modern. Lastly the manager was wonderful! so kind and helpful. Thank you for a great stay.

Excellent accommodation in a private, gated area with three houses. Keys are collected from the reception of a property meters down the road. The pool was heated and an unexpectedly great amenity after long days hiking through cloud forests or going to adventure parks. We prepared our own meals in the kitchen, which was reasonably provisioned. A dehumidifier in the property was a great addition and while there was no air conditioning, it wasn't needed during our July visit. Quiet, clean and overall a great home during our stay in Monteverde. Parking on site and behind the gate is provided for each house.

She helped organize all of my tours based on my wishes and likes (and all tours were SO amazing; zipline, hanging bridges, guided night tour). All customers were given a large plate of fruits each morning (complimentary). The view is wonderful, from sunny with a clear view to mystical as the mountain side is covered by clouds. This place is truly great value for your money.

We felt really spoiled in this treehouse so closed to the road, but also in the middle of the forest. The main bedroom has 180 views to the forest, while the living room has also a beautiful view towards a terrace. Every morning we had our private birds show in the trees in front of the terrace. My husband was working outside, and the birds weren’t shy at all to sit very closed to him and show of their colorful plumage. We were only two, but the cabin can fit four comfortably. And it has two bathrooms which we really appreciated it. The kitchen had all the tools a cook could dream of, but we only used a few. 😊 Definitely, a place to recharge and enjoy the nature.

The room was very clean and breakfast included in the price was very yummy. The location is convenient, close to a supermarket, Santa Elena town center and a few great sodas.

    Very clean, comfortable rooms. Emmanuel is a great host, and staff are helpful. Brakfast is an authentic Costarican. Great location to downtown Santa Elena 7min walk. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets close by.

    The owners were super friendly and helpfull. They offer to book tours and transfers for the guests with the best rates I found in town. The place was very clean (spotless) and organized, they have some hammocks to relax and a good parking space. The room, although simple, was very comfy and with enough space to hang stuff. They have the best equipped kitchen I've seen in a hostel anywhere, with even spices and sauces for common use. Superb value for money.

    This was our second time staying at Cougar as we absolutely loved it the first time. The property is spacious, modern and very clean. The master bedroom has a balcony which we sat on every day and night and watched the birds and the stars. We saw Toucan's, hummingbirds, wrens and many more. The location is very peaceful. There is a farm close by selling fresh produce along with a night tour and dinner. Our host Maria is wonderful. Very attentive and just a beautiful human.

    Beautiful house, modern equipment, great size for our family of 4. Very clean. Comfy beds, loads of space in the lounge area and huge decking with incredible views. Location was great, short drive into town and the activities. Loves the vibe in Monteverde, will definitely be back.

    Best equiped kitchen we had in Costa Rica. A bread toaster, clean pans, good knifes... Dark quiet room to sleep in. Good shower. Excellent fridge and freezer. Terrace nicely done. We saw mot mot, kolibries and an oppossum in the trees. Very clean, fresh smell.
