Cottages and various categories of rooms offer hand-crafted furniture and decor by local artisans, a private bathroom with shower, a fan and some rooms have the option of air-conditioning. The cottages have thatched roofs and some units have the option for a kitchenette with kitchenware. The location was lovely, and I'd describe the rooms as true to the website's pictures. We weren't satisfied with our initial room and asked for a different one. The second room was significantly better, featuring a brand-new air conditioning unit. It's conveniently located near Encuentro Beach, exuding those delightful tropical Caribbean vibes.

Set in Sosúa in the Puerto Plata Province region and Laguna Beach reachable within 200 metres, DesSea Island-Sosua Ocean Village offers accommodation with free WiFi, a children's playground, an infinity pool and free private parking. We spent 8 days here - in a blink of an eye! Even if a bit remote, this boutique hotel is unique and exclusive. The ultimate destination for relaxing. I recommend the bungalow 1 directly on the beach 🤩 Private beach, excellent helpful and kind staff (Victor, Michelle, John and Fernando thank you!). Amazing breakfast and cuisine. The barbecue on Saturday evening was magical. Will definitely come back!

We happen to be there for their yearly party which included entertainment, outdoor buffet, and fireworks! Most staff was great, check in was a little iffy... felt bad for the new guy Brian who was trying to explain fees but had no idea what he was talking about... Supervisor Fanny could have been more helpful.

Beautiful and peaceful place surrounded by a tropical garden and with 2 cute swimming pools. The room was clean and looked like the pictures. Breakfast was good and you can make yourself what you like sitting by the pool. There is also a kitchen that guests can use. It is located approximately 20 Min walking to play encuentro, the famous surf beach and the guys from the B&B have a surf school offering classes and renting the material. The best is to combine the stay with surfing!

We had a perfect time. The hostess was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent and the swimming pool was clean, warm and located in a beautiful garden. I must admit, we had the place to ourselves the first few days, so maybe that's also why we liked it so much. However, the accommodation is a definite recommendation aside from the number of residents.

Beautiful location, nice swimming pools & wonderful beach, very friendly staff (apart from the guy who wouldn’t let me in, see below). Good food (not excellent though) & lovely entertainment as well. Clean hotel.
