Beautiful cozy two bedroom Cottage located 1 mile from the town of Leyburn. Two large bedrooms upstairs. Downstairs bathroom. Kitchen diner and lounge located on the ground floor. A wood fired hot tub will be waiting for you to enjoy. All bedding and towels are provided for each guest. An enclosed front patio to relax in either before or after a lovely walk around the hidden waterfall. Plenty of dog walks directly from the cottage. Two lovely pubs within walking distance.
Born and raised in Kent now living in North Yorkshire I have owned Tannery Cottage for over 4 years and spent many a happy week here. After a blissful 3 weeks here in 2018 I decided to make the move permanently which is the best decision I ever made. I live 5 minutes from the cottage in a beautiful little village where the pace of life is much slower and far more relaxed. I now own a coffee shop and get to bake for people daily. Hopefully some of you will pop in while you visit I live 1/2 a mile away and will be on hand to help with any queries you may have during your stay.
We have the most amazing neighbours who will happily spend time telling you about the local area. There is plenty to do in and around the Harmby. A 5 minute stroll and you could find the hidden waterfall. Walk down into Spennithorne to the very welcoming Old Horn Inn. Paul and Chris will look after you with either a refreshing cold drink or a home cooked meal. There is a local bus to discover more of the dales but a car would really be needed in this area. You can walk from the cottage up to Leyburn across the fields or by road. The choice is yours. There is a heritage railway line for a great afternoon out. Forbidden corner is a must for adults and children.
