Cottage close to the sea and great swimming and fishing opportunities. Offers kayak, bicycle and rowboat rental. Guided kayak tour on request. Its a cottage with one double bed and one sofabed. But it is in the same room, so I recommend to be only 2 people. 7km from Mikkelparken in Kinsarvik. An amusement park for kids. 3 km from Lofthus. 30 km from Odda & Trolltunga Nice nature and great startingpoint for hiking, such as Oksen, the waterfalls in Husedalen.
We have an informationbinder in the cabin. If you need more information just ask us and we will be helpfull.
We can recommend eating at Gløyp in Kinsarvik, also the guesthouse in Lofthus: Gjesteheimen, They have local food and thaifood. Kompaen beside the hotell Ullensvang is also good. Hotel Ullensvang in Lofthus has a buffe worth trying. We can suggest Ekspedisjonen, the local pub and micro brewery. They serving their own homemade cider and beer. Skredhaugen outdoor museum with goats is 10 minutes walk away. Beautiful hiking area such as The Queen-path, Oksen, Trolltunga, The Munksteps, the Waterfalls in Elvadalen -Kinsarvik. Buerdalen from Odda and visit the glacier is a nice trip. I will recommend you to bring along bathing clothes and go swimming in the beautiful in and outdoor swimming area at Hotel Ullensvang. Its nice bicycle the fruit-trail at Lofthus. Low traffic. We have maps. Free parking . The bus stops 5 minutes walk away and the bus Company is Skyss. In the summer it is a touristboat from Lofthus to Utne,Herand,Nordheimsund,Eidfjord,Kinsarvik,Ulvik. The boat Company is Norled.
