Quetzal Valley Cabins is located in San Gerardo de Dota, in Los Quetzales National Park. This eco-friendly property features more than 5 km of on-site hiking trails, plus free fishing and parking.

At Quetzal Valley Cabins you will find beautiful gardens, and the property can also prepare meals. Small restaurants and shops are available within 5 minutes' drive. Entrance fee to River and 250 ha Reserve complementary.

Cabins are ideally located to see the quetzals and other birds - cabins are very rustic and comfortable with plenty of blankets during cold nights and equipped with standup electric heaters we enjoyed our stay here despite a mixup at Miriam’s Restaurant who sent us to another mountain resort owned by her daughter despite knowing we were booked for Quetzal Valley Cabins which we felt was very unethical and un businesslike of Miriam and her daughter. It was eventually sorted and we were met by Nelson who was a very nice and kind man showing us to our cabin and his son in law Jairo who is an excellent guide for spotting the quetzals. The property has lots of trails and a river flowing through it so it’s really best place in Quetzal Valley to see this beautiful bird.

This was a perfect stay in this remote valley. The room was comfortable and the staff was very friendly. In addition the restaurant was excellent and not expected in such a remote location. Short distance to hiking trails and the lodge private garden were nice additions.

Gorgeous eco-lodge in the cloud forest; stunning gardens with plenty of bird life; very kind and attentive staff; simple but sparkling accommodation. I loved sitting in my rocking chair on the veranda, taking photos of the hummingbirds when it was too rainy to walk.

A very well appointed and new cabin in San gerardo. Comfortable and a great location in the valley. We took our own food but there are lots of options nearby to eat out. Walks next to chalet and in the savegre lodge were excellent.

We spent 5 weeks travelling in Costa Rica and this was definitely one of the best places we stayed at. Excellent lodges, lots of space, great shower and perfect beds. Staff very friendly. Breakfast is amazing. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was also very good, reasonable prices.

Awesome wooden lodges in the amazing San Gerardo de dota valley. The lodges are massive and have a beautiful river view. It did get cold at night but the massive blanket did the job and the room was super cozy. The restaurant was the best we had in Costa Rica, you have to try the trouts and avocados! We also did a quetzal tours in the morning and it was awesome!
