The lodge provides guests with a balcony, mountain views, a seating area, a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and an oven, and a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. We initially chose Baptiste Lake Lodge as a convenient location, on a lake, close to Bancroft and mineral hunting. What we discovered is that the Lodge is a beautiful, comfortable resort surrounded by friendly, hospitable people (including the neighbors!). The Lodge is right on the lake, on a quiet street with virtually no traffic. The calls of loons are heard early morning and during the absolutely spectacular sun set over the lake. Our accommodations were spacious and comfortable. We used all spaces, including our lovely private deck overlooking the lake. We enjoyed the large back yard a lot, and did get out paddling on beautiful Baptiste Lake. The flowers and gardens around the property are lovely, obviously planted with love and care. The Lodge was well located for us, affording us quick access both north (we visited Algonquin Provincial Park) and to many south, east and west mineral hunting trips. We hope to visit this lodge again! p.s. I loved that the Lodge recycles! So many commercial establishments do not.

Scenic High Falls is 6.1 km from the lodge. I was doing a tour around Lake Superior, and this was the nicest place I stayed. Just south of Wawa, set in the forest and beautifully maintained. My spacious log cabin was perfect. Even a beautiful large bathroom. Great off-season price, particularly for Americans.

We love the place, the unit is fully equipped with everything you might need (including dish soap, sponge, towels, toilet paper etc), kitchenette has all utensils. The unit is very spacious and upgraded, facing lake and a large lawn. Not crowded and you can relax at your own peace. We brought our puppy and it was safe for him to running unleashed. It feels like you’re visiting your parents living up north, so comfy and cozy! We would like to thank Derek and Jeffrey for making our stay amazing and helping with all routine questions.

If you would like to discover the area, fishing and canoeing are possible in the surroundings. The owner was very helpful, told us where things were located in the area, very clean, comfortable.

A continental breakfast is available daily at the lodge. Lovely beds, lovely suite, well-equipped kitchen that served us well during our stay. Sofa bed was just as comfy according to the person who slept on it. Just down the road from the playhouse we were visiting, just a corner away from the beach. Granted, Port Burwell is small, but I was a big fan of the fantastic Caribbean patties place directly across the road -- even open off season! Member of staff even took our keys for us instead of us having to put them back in the lockbox at the end.

An outdoor pool is available at the resort. great room, comfortable, warm and quiet. fantastic staff and great breakfast. thanks for the home made jam- was delicious.
