Situated in tranquil woodland surroundings, Kasteel van Nieuwland offers spacious rooms and free Wi-Fi. The building and the setting is beautiful. A lovely garden out back with a pond that has a lost in time appeal. The room was comfortable and clean. The owner, Luc, and his son were super attentive and professional. And the food was superb! I would return just to eat dinner here.

Located in Aarschot, 'S Hertogenmolens Hotel is set in a renovated water mill along Demer River and offers rooms with free WiFi and flat-screen TV. The stay was perfect for what we needed. The neighborhood of the hotel is very beautiful, the room is comfortable, clean, bright. It's not luxurious, it's simple but cozy. I thought the renovation was very beautiful. Overlooking a river, with a brasserie with a veranda facing the water. Breakfast is very good, above average, with a variety of breads, croissant, yogurt, juice, fruit. In Belgium they rarely tear down old buildings. They have made good use of this old building with a beautiful renovation, with an annexe (done very often in old buildings in the country). I found it cozy and they deserved to have a booking score above 9.

Surrounded by Aarschot’s green environment, Pluimpapaver Hotel & Glamping offers modern rooms in white and wooden materials. This is a wonderful place in the countryside for relaxing! Beautiful garden to boot. They cater for wheelchair users and reduced mobility. Hans and Jasmine were wonderful hosts and catered for my dietary requirements, no problem. I am coeliac and dairy free and have lots of other intolerances. Sad to leave. The accommodation was top-notch.

Featuring a traditional thatched-roof, this hotel offers colourfully decorated accommodation with free Wi-Fi and free parking. We were driving a car and trailer and were greeted by the proprietor who showed us where to park in a safe space. We were shown to our room and shown how the tv worked. The room was large with a lovely bathroom and an extremely comfortable bed. We enjoyed a couple of beers on the terrace before having dinner in the excellent restaurant next door. Breakfast was available at our convenience. Again it was excellent, lots of options including a freshly cooked ham omelette. We would definitely stay again if we were travelling in this part of Belgium again.

The charming 3-star Hotel De Fransche Kroon is centrally located in the historical city of Diest. Find yourself comfortably settled at walking distance from the Grote Markt and the Begijnhof. Very warm welcome when we arrived by bike with the whole family. Breakfast was excellent and with enough choice.

Offering a terrace and garden view, b&b Meilrijk is set in Diest, 24 km from Hasselt Market Square and 29 km from Bobbejaanland. Amazing host and atmosphere. We were really well taken care of, every detail was thought through.
